I was introduced to stereophonic sound by the movies, and I was lucky enough to have a large movie palace locally when I was a kid. Westrex and Voice of the Theatre impress me now just as they used to. Give me good ol' Todd-AO 70mm 6-track sound anytime and I'm more than content. Klipsch was the closest way to get that kind of magic at home, and that speaker sitting there between you looks mighty impressive to me.

Nice video. lovely looking speakers. Interested to hear the sound. I wonder why the bass driver has been mounted behind the baffle. Wouldn't that restrict wave dispersion, hence restrict soundstage in a way???

Really nice and informative communication and without any bad back thoughts I really ask my self after 40 years of intensive Hifi which loudspeaker got sound wise better after the 80th 🤔 There are 4500 speaker producers in the world and it is a 25 billion market a year 😮 But for my ears the first serie of the Wilson Audio Watt Puppy,JBL and Klipsch was the best and there is no hearing forward experience after the 80 th 😢 All this so called new speakers are only a new design not a drastic better sound and every week a new story with a supposed better speaker is showing up 🤔 I understand that the industry have to make money but so long I do not hear something better I am out the chase. But I thank you for the Video 🎉❤

Very nice collab, I love seeing this kind of stuff. JBL and Klipsch are my favorite in the game, and Devon is keeping Altec alive in his own way. I would however like to see Klipsch reintroduce a sealed Heresy variant. Rear porting the Heresy 4 is a heresy by itself in that it essentially eliminates the possibility of using the speaker as a hifi (or cinema) center channel speaker due to placement issues up against walls or media cabinets. The new model essentially eliminated the only "compact" speaker in the heritage range that doubled as a center channel. Glad I got my matching H3 anniversary model when I did.

Love that speaker If I were back-mounting that woofer, I would melt the baffle edges of the round cut-out
@TriAmpHiFi2 ай бұрын
. The MDF is 3/4 inch. The more the edge is melted, the less structural material and the less likely screw heads will be flat to the baffle. Wood screws are "pulling" the baffle with a conical shaped force. It's not good material for a torque fastener. The woofer should be inset flush to a 3/4" decorative baffle, on top of a second 3/4" structural baffle. No screws but through bolt into a metal rear baffle mounting flange ring. Much stronger & the drivers can go in & out 1000 times without baffle damage. Acid Jazz, Funk & Brass 🔈🔉🔊

@@middleearthltd . The only problem is, backing rings are not a "thing" so there's no availability. I'll have to cut a ring out of some blank stock and maybe utilize those pop rivet type thread sleeves instead of fixing nuts. My woofers just came in this week so, time to get a mounting plan. 😁

They used the Heresy as model, not a lot of engineering, the drivers are off the shelf and they used Klipsch's manufacturing facilities. Just for S&Gs...$600 for the cabinets, $1500 for the drivers $1000 for the crossovers and $500 for the stands. If you add $3000 for miscellaneous the total comes to $6600. I'm trying, but I don't see $8500 in theses speakers. For that kind of money you can get a pair of Cornwalls and a Decware amp...

@ELcinegatto872 ай бұрын
News to me as well. The JBL JS series stands are perfect for Heresy's. I use them with my H3 70th Anniversary model, on its side with the riser base removed, its my center channel, just as it was designed to be between 2 KHorns. Wouldn't work well with the new H4s due to the port though, probably the first true non-center Heresy so the stand they show here is better for the new H4. Might be a special order item from Klipsch. First time I've ever seen it.

A very short lived thought. We've been using a Zen Decware amp with them as well now. Absolutely amazing and as loud and clear as you'd ever want. Gorgeous sounding combo too. If PK was still alive, he'd fire these two numbskulls for adding cheesy potentiometers to try and appeal to the common listener/buyer who are clueless why its bad. Klipsch are "bright" out of the box, but there are much better solutions to correct this by offering the buyer a few different options via the crossover, i.e., -3dB, -6dB, -12dB.
