Got my GT5 5 2 days before flying away for 9 days vacation. Charge to the full and never recharge it in my entire trip until my return and it still has around 13%. This watch is really really good. I also like the ability to customize the watch face. Normally, I need 3 things on my watch face. Date, Day and the Battery percentage. It is unfortunate that some of the nice watch faces do not have this 3 basic info, so I have to settle with a more inferior one. But thanks to this one, I can now add the info to the face as I like.

Just received Gt 5 pro 42 today. But the white ceramic chain comes with stainless instead of gold which is different from the picture on the website. Wanting to check with you, what is the watch chain colour of your gt 5 pro 42, is it white ceramic with stainless steel or white ceramic with gold? Hope this isn’t confusing, just wanting to swap note in case what I received is a dud.

Hi. I know one can never say for sure and predict the future, but usually, what are the life life expectancies of these watches, how long or how many years do batteries of these watches last? So far i only have experience with cheap "mi band" type watches, and if i pay 500€ for a GT5 pro watch, i would like to keep it and use it for years, and not to have another thing to "throw away" in 2 years or so, because its either dead or obsolete. I would love to return to Huawei watches but practicality stands in the way. My Garmin has the same battery life, provides a searchable database for my infinitely configurable activity records, and includes Garmin Pay. Note that I still keep an old (2018) Huawei Watch 2 4G for my other wrist for situations where I can't take a phone with me because it can be used with any PAYG micro SIM.

I have the GT5 Pro Titanium and its excellent in most ways. The one big downside that would have stopped me buying it if i had known earlier is that Huawei Health and the watch itself have no way of showing you a PB time for a run. My fastest 5km was in december and all i know is that it was 21 minutes and something. There is no option to view best times and people have complained about it on Huawei forums for 5+ years. I wish id seen that before buying it.

@SmokeyRobbo kinda. There's the 'Strava Tax' where Strava uses a different GPS path algorithm to pretty much all watches and shows a shorter distance. For example, today I ran 10.01km by my watch. Strava shows it as 9.90km. The same happens with pretty any watch syncing to Strava (unless they run an actual Strava app) but most others would just let you see your best times anyway.

Bought my first Huawei phone, 5G(limited to regions due to Huawei restrictions by the West) Pura 70 EMUI (not Harmony OS), and 4 mths in, it is excellent. Refresh rate grt and smooth. Pics quality grt for my use, better than my ex Samsung phone but if you are looking for more technical and professional use then it's the Pro or Ultra. Able to use the usual Google apps via GBOX app. Have NFC functions but limited to regions, again due to restrictions on Huawei by the West if you can live with that. Does not support Esim in this model, both the Pro and Ultra do. Voice assists need improvement but I'm sure that will come in future updates. Also recently bought the GT 5 Pro, which works seamlessly with my Pura 70. As mentioned, lots of Fitness modes especially for me, Recreational scuba diving down to 40m and snow skiing.

I purchased the GT5 Pro around a month ago and I am blown away by how good it is. I previously had an apple watch series 8 but I wanted something with a better battery life and something that looks more like a watch and this delivers. It looks like a high end watch, punching well above its price in every area. The only thing I miss, but I am willing to sacrifice for everything good about it is the payments. I got a free strap with the watch (I went for blue and it looks amazing) and you currently get the free ear buds which are also very impressive! I don't think anyone would regret getting this watch.

The part I was expecting the most from the review was the accuracy of the measurements, which hasn’t always been a strong point for Huawei watches. It would have been interesting to see a comparison of the gps, heart rate, and sleep tracking against an Apple Watch. That’s definitely the kind of thing that would justify the price difference.

you can check out the scientific review if you want that kind of review. But i have been using this watch personally and its pretty good. i usually cycle so GPS is accurate and the sleep analysis is also pretty good at a glance as time being owkn up and sleep timings sync up. The recovery info is also similar to how i am feeling for that day

Your comment is so wrong. Huawei watches had always have most accurate heart rate along with iwatch. And if you care about other measurements like spo2 and sleep then none of the watches are accurate at the moment. You will just choose between bad and worse

@UV-Byzantine that's not what reviewers say. Go check the scientific reviews of any of the recent Huawei watches. Then again, the experience might vary from one person to the other but Huawei watches aren't known for their tracking accuracy.

9:07 This watch is over-hyped with too many flaws & I was fooled by these reviews. I bought it 2 months ago, primarily for golf features which WearOS doesn't offer. 1) All courses are in yards, no options to change. 2) standard straps have 2 old movable bands to hold strap in place which is a downgrade from other modern, secure straps. It gets loose often. 3) Timer has only fixed times, no option to create and save own. 4) Sleep tracker records waking up incorrectly or ignores it. 5) Many other features like wallet are not available outside China. 6) Only calls work, all other modifications don't work on Android
