Hullo, Mel (and a preemptive Happy New Year!), Thanks so much for this and for other hilly tutorials: I've come into some expanded poly sheets with Chrimbo packaging and figured I'd put it to good use, so I've already started planning and mapping-out some modular hills (following your advice elsewhere) and now I'm looking forward to actually putting them together! ...and although I couldn't find this particular video last night, somewhere in the grey cells I remembered the golden 1:3 ratio, which helped a great deal: thank you!

Nice tutorial, I have a sloped meca for my Necron board and it does add something different to the table :)
