Great work. An old photographer's trick is to shoot either individuals or groups of uneven numbers. The human eye is better attracted to the uneven. Have a go at creating some groups of mostly three' s and an odd group of five while leaving around two thirds of the single leaves as they are. You will see what I mean with this. Using tweezers I have had success painting the backs with varnish and gluing them down with it. I mainly used this to attach them to the tops of vehicles where they would get stuck. They also make splashed on mud on the lower half of the vehicle really pop. Just glue them down over your mud work and paint over them with your usual muddy colours. Going by the size of the leaf in your handle they would look right on a 28mm vehicle.

Adaminski41 No worries mate, dried parsley works well, I just normally strain it before putting it down.

Nice product overview. :) I think the wash (which I never thought of) adds so much to the them. The original color looks a bit too bright. I was wondering if you could just add a bunch to a shallow cup (paint lid?) and wash them all at once. Then you could spread them on some parchment to dry. I was also wondering if you have tried just water+pva soaking to glue them down without the individual drop of glue. If you wanted to create some dense leaf litter, one at a time might take a while. ;) I haven't worked with the catkin leaves before and if they have a really small area of contact, this might not work well?

***** Cheers mate, washing them shouldn't be a problem, I'd actually suggest a few different tints and then mix them all back together again once they're dry. They're scatter foliage, so you're able to just scatter it over and seal it with a pva/water mix. I'm planning on covering it in a later tutorial when I jazz up some gf9 gothic scenery mate

Great series of videos. Looking at the treemendus website, I see they do tree making kits. Any chance of a review or tutorial on those?

Looks nice, though I admit it seems strange to have random leaves lying about without any trees nearby. Speaking of trees, is that folliage useful for making trees, or just the leaf piles around the base of them and elsewhere on the ground.

ghostbirdofprey LOL, yeah, but it's only my demo piece. Birch seeds are used a leaves in bonsai trees, so there's no reason why you couldn't but it might take some time ;-)
