FROM OUR CEO. Growing up on a working horse farm in Pennsylvania, I was one of eight kids and spent my childhood surrounded by animals - horses, sheep, pigs, chickens, dogs and cats. I have a special memory of sitting in front of the TV in 1973, watching Secretariat win the Kentucky Derby. He went on to win the Triple Crown, setting records that still stand today. Secretariat’s big heart and competitive spirit were the motivations behind naming our company Ariat. Ariat was founded as “The New Breed of Boot.” We were the first to integrate athletic footwear technology into boots for equestrian athletes. Today, our world-class product team builds innovative and award-winning performance products for all types of outdoor and work environments. We are honored to be a part of your story and thank you for being part of ours.

I’m quite of age, so listen up. Levi’s by Levi Strauss in the oldies were some of the very best blue jeans ever made. They were cheap back then, but they held up better than anything. And then all the sudden they shipped me somewhere to be made so they can make more money. And you still pay a high price and Levi’s by Levi Strauss is a piece of crap when you wear them you’re wearing them because you want the tag because they are not the blue Jean of all days. I’m a little old so I don’t look quite the same in blue jeans but I do like them and yes I’m a female and I am going to be 74 in a couple days. I don’t know what it is but they make so much better pants for men than women. And the best part with the men’s pants, they have deep pockets. Don’t try to put anything in a woman’s pair of anything that’s got pockets cause you’re lucky if they’re 2 inches or even if there is a pocket that looks like a pocket. And now that I need a phone in my pocket I want it to go down in my pocket turn it sideways cause I like the front pocket, it won’t fall out I won’t lose my phone. If the pockets are right, you got a put them straight up and down and I’m not gonna sit on my phone so just my personal choice. So I kind of like your ad you’re showing would you like about the blue jeans. Just I like the men’s blue jeans I am woman always have been. In the old days that ladies love the 501 blue jeans first husband and I were 28/28. Sad part is I lived in and no I’m not 28/28 any longer on the pant. But I’m not looking for a man and like I said, I’m gonna be 74 very soon. But the men’s blue jeans are made way better than women so don’t be upset if a woman wants to wear the men’s blue jeans they can still be a woman. no I don’t like wearing a dress or a skirt. It’s just cause I’m more comfortable in pants and I do have some nice pants that look appropriately in a pant suit for a woman not to look like a man. Just saying.

I'm not a cowboy but I drive big rigs and it is getting harder to find nice looking jeans that work well with boots without looking G-A-Y lol bootcuts under $40 off the rack usually are too baggy and need to be shrunk down a bit in a hot wash in my personal experience.
@markedwards9247 Жыл бұрын
As a European, your review has confused me about western jeans culture. Over here there is no style that means you are gay. Maybe the color. But if anything baggy jeans would be much more of a gay thing. Real men wear comfort fit. A cowboy hat is a big gay icon here. Probably a hang over from Brokenback Mountain. What we should really be looking at is whether we like the trousers. Are they comfortable? Do they last? Are they functional? Are they good value? If they tick all those boxes, tbh, I couldn't give a hang what others think about my clothing choices. I do not want to be a walking billboard for straight preferences. What I think is really weird is girls wearing jeans. To me, that is as off as a guy wearing a skirt. I just don't like it, but maybe that is just me. Great that TTB is reviewing clothes on a realistic level, and not as some fashion parade.

"Let the baggy clothing come back??" To each their own. It seems that baggy clothes are coming back in many sectors/subcultures; not only western wear. Interesting thing though is that when I was an adolescent in the 90's, there was such thing as 'cowboy tight,' and I would never see or fathom a cowboy wearing 'baggy pants.' This was at a time when there were skaters, tagging crews/taggers (gang bangers of course) many/most of whom would wear baggy pants, which seemed to be the antithesis of what my typical image of a cowboy would be. For those of us who are old enough to know, '¿ Remember the old school Wrangler® commercials ?' Enough said. Even the storied '13 MWZ's' seemed to have been cut less baggy when they were Made in the USA. In the 90's I did get into the 'baggy fad,' which was short lived for me. It just wasn't me. Growing up in the 80's as a pre-adolescent/adolescent (My formative years)...'bell bottoms' or 'bell bottom like' was a big no go. Don't know how that has anything to do with sexuality as is implied in this video. Aside from cowboys, punk rockers and metal heads (or headbangers as they were called back them) wore what would be considered very slimmed or skinny jeans. Now, I wouldn't consider most of those guys who would listen to or play aggressive music to be of 'a different persuasion' (statistically, I'm sure some were as you could find in any community...If they were however, they wouldn't be announcing it or making a scene like today). Of course, there were those who were into the hardcore scene (proto-metal etc.), and they wore baggy clothes and there were stoners, who were a bit retro-hippie-ish who wore bell bottoms. Like I said to each their own. The important thing is to respect each other. I still can't make the connection between fit and sexuality; now as far as certain colors go, I will agree, but that's a whole other story.

Yes, tricky to get the pronunciation right because of the way it is spelled. Ideally, it should be spelled, Airiat because that is how it is pronounced. But we all know that nobody in the USA can spell. HAHAHAHAHA. But I love you anyway 😁 Now, when you review jeans, you should have at least 3 pairs of jeans. Levi being the oldest and most popular Gayvis in the world weren't included. What a dreadful oversight! I have never bought Ariat. I don't mind trying them. I liked what I saw in your video, but I must say, I am damn impressed with my Wranglers. I have had one pair easily 5 years, They are almost white now from age and many washes but not a single hole or rip has appeared in them. They don't even feel close to worn out.
