This is definitely on my bucket list. I shopped at the fish market and we found the best Gulf shrimp for our gumbo. Incidentally, Katie is the name of my beloved Catahoula. Your mom must be a wonderful woman. My mom loved the seafood market. Sadly, she passed away before the restaurant. She would have loved it. ❤

Used to be better. Top water grill. I've kept my throats for years. There food is fresh though. Pick any kind of foods when visiting and hit several of those places, especially hole in the walls, then judge.

Sure are. They wanted to preserve the integrity of their view from their patio. "What view?" You get some mucky brown water in the harbor channel, an industrial complex, and nothing... If people wanted dinner with a view they would go to a place on Seawall.

Must be nice to have stupid money to eat seafood at an average price of $40 to $50 per person to eat there. How do the places on Seawall keep their prices down when they don't have boats to catch the fish and off set the cost. Kind of makes you think the Katie's Seafood people are a little greedy.

HOLY SHIT! $20 range for the cheapest thing on the menu. Average price is mid 30's to lower 50's per entrée. Might as well say $200 for a family of 4 to eat. Could easily hit $300 to $400 if you start drinking. DAMN!!!!!!!!!!!

We go there year after year because the food is amazing, and its so laid back. I am a Texan by birth and a historian as well. The view of the bay is great, if you dont like the muddy brown water then leave Galveston to those that do. The USS Texas will find a place to birth long-term, and I will be there to visit. To those saying its expensive, yep it sure is, and guess what fresh seafood aint cheap, and cheap seafood aint fresh so take your pick.

May be great food but after what Katie's Seafood House did to the Battleship USS TEXAS I will NEVER go there and I hope that every true Texan will tell them to get out of Texas. The USS TEXAS needs to stay right where she is located at and if Katie's don't like the view of the USS TEXAS then all I can say is get the hell out of Texas.

Wow and not one person talked about that crappy view across the bay. It's almost like they came for food and not the view. Katie's passed up the chance to draw people away from seafood places on Seawall with a tourist attraction right beside it. The owners must not like money. Which BTW Texas Bucket List I'm certain you just told them to make a few items of their choice as the highlight. The "Grouper Platter" though was tacky on their part at showcasing a $60 entree.
