The fact that Katie is able to survive in space, float, and is shaped as a speck. Is most likely signaling that Katie, itself, is theoretically a pocket universe itself. Or more, a creator of pocket universes, a producer of “specks”, which is full of other Katie’s, creating more Katie’s infinitely, meaning the Katie shown in the movie might be a product of a larger, more incomprehensible Katie which might have been created by a larger Katie. This might explain the lack of parents shown as well.

She could try to eat him, but one of two things could happen. Scenario one; Smart Mort comes out and finds a way to get out of Katie. Scenario two; Katie spaces out like with the bug and Mort just tumbles out. I'd say it would be a draw as neither can be destroyed.

The scene where Katie is in space could actually prove that Katie can control her own size, as during the movie she is smaller than other creatures on this spec on space, yet when we go to the space scene, she is shown to be the same size if not bigger than the spec she was just residing. This can therefore show that she has the ability to control her own matter and size, further showing she is a power above the jungle
