Think about it for a minute here, did Disney ever actually give us video of Athena holding newly born Ariel? No, they gave us video of Ariel holding newly born Melody, so the makers of this video had to improvise.

The story timelines don't hold up: Peter Pan is set around 1906, so Athena would be a young woman in 1906 in Peter Pan, and then have her daughters. BUT, her daughter Ariel (The Little Mermaid) is set around 1840. This would mean Ariel and Eric's story takes place about sixty years before Athena was in Peter Pan and the mermaid lagoon. I might ruin someone's hopes and dreams for this theory, but it's worth pointing out.

The most plausible theory is the last one. The Little Mermaid is set in the mid-to-late 19th C while Peter Pan is set in 1900. Athena was kidnapped and taken to Neverland where she remained until at least 1900!!!

think you might have your little mermaids confused Ariel's beginning is the 3rd little mermaid movie serving as prequal. the scene at 3.08 is Ariel and her daughter Melody. big hint mermaids don't wear clothes. there is a scene where Athena kisses young Ariel's cheek which you could have used as a comparison. the peter pan mermaids don't look like Athena- hair colour is different. Athena's hair is more of an autumn red while the pan mermaids hair are like ginger biscuits

Honestly Pirates didn’t kill Athena I think they were planning to but didn’t instead that was Anna’s and Elsa’s parents ship they went to go to Tangles wedding but instead ran into the coats and killed Athena cause of King Tritons waves he cost.And also I think it’s unfair that King Triton didn’t let go of Ariel’s crush she was just a normal 16 year old mermaid she even said she was just 16 I mean she could find someone new and Eric was way older than her like in his 20s.She married him at the age of 18 than had a daughter(witch she WAS holding not the other way around)At 19.My half Theory is done.Also rocks can’t float in the ocean even big rocks there has to be something at the bottom holding them together(so they won’t sink) so how did Athena push the rock so her daughter could escape without it falling in the water forever?
