If you use Vegas, right click on the curve that is showing on clip once you made that effect and there should be a drop down menu. I usually click on the first one down and then have the clips on different layers so that when the clip fades it fades to black for a second but then the clip after that appears 😊 Though, for when I just want to fade in or out a clip that doesn’t lead to another, I usually use the curve that is the third one down! It’s kinda hard to explain, but I hope that helped haha!!)
