Haven’t seen many people talk about how that scene in Eda’s dream showed the origin of the owl curse. In a different part of the isles, maybe a different titan alltogether, A mysterious figure(crescent moons, possibly related to the Blights? belos?) caught the owlbeast and cursed it, the beast tried to leave but then fell into the ocean as it was turned into the scroll. That final scene is essentially the origin of the cursed scroll, the owlbeast is constantly trying to return to its home and sees Eda as the person who wronged it.

I think that the memory with The Collector (the moon knight) wasn't Eda's. Right before we see The Collector we see a different titan than the one that forms the Boiling Isles (possibly the one from the mural in King's tower, it looks similar). Then the Collector traps Owl Eda, but I think this is just dream logic and this memory is the beast's because the next scene is the cursed scroll arriving from the sea onto the Boiling Isles. My theory is that the owl beast was captured and trapped in the cursed scroll by The Collector on a different titan corpse. That would explain why the owl beast was trying to flee out to sea in the scene on the beach. It was trying to get home.

I'm wondering what kind of time manipulation powers Hooty has! At the beginning of the ep, Luz says the thing about Amity, the start or her section of the ep happens right after she said that. Hooty gave her the letter within minutes of her going to her room. The time it would take for her and Amity (which when and how did he go get her that fast?) to say hi, fall down the hole, and go through that song in the tunnel (Which, when the hell did he construct that? He JUST came up with the idea to help them) would be 15min max, yet Hooty says that he messed up again, implying that the other sections with King and Eda did happen first, also when Luz and Amity went outside King was already on the roof in basically the same position he was in at the end of his section of the ep and Eda was already in Hot Harpy form, BUT when Eda first ate the sleeping nettle Hooty mentioned that it made you fall asleep for hours. Also, we don't know exactly how long he and King were talking but it was long enough for it to be conflicting to the rest of the ep's timeline, or when the hell he was able to bake both a crumble and the cookies, baking can take 30min to an hour and he supposedly did that before the King and Eda parts but only came up with his plans right after Luz ran off. I don't take Dana as one to make that big of a continuity error... Also, everything would have made sense and wouldn't have created a timeline conflict without the inclusion of letting the audience know Luz's part in the ep started right after she ran off in the beginning of the ep. Luz's part would have flowed just fine if it happened at any point, why make it right after she ran off? Seems a tad intentional to me

Ive been looking forward to your video! This episode was HUGE!! I love the connection with Eda and her curse to mental health. I’ve struggled with general anxiety disorder since I was a kid ( also pushing people away along my journey) and something that I’ve learned recently as an adult is that the more you accept it, the more you heal and grow with it and it does transform you into a more beautiful being morphed with it. ( Ida’s transformation is beautiful! ) Hooty is absolutely adorable and I love that he is writing to Lilith with a typewriter since he can’t hold a pen. I love the story arc of Eda and her curse, is similar to my relationship with my anxiety, family caused and in certain way I generated pain to them (not as much as them but still), I tried to scape from every meltdown, act as everything is all right while my whole world was breaking. Even now that I am better, I am not OK, I still need my meds and time to time it gets me (uni is not the best for mental health) but now is not a "curse" is just a part of me that I have to live with, just like my resistance to sense pain or temperature. I love that the next generation will have this show, because they won't have to suffer as much as I did.

"Moonface" was from a memory the owlbeast had. It's how it ended up in the scroll. My theory is that moonface was in the Blight family. Based solely on the fact that Amity just happened to be wearing a moon necklace over a black dress in this episode.

I think the main takeaway for me this episode was that it did a good job illustrating how obscenely powerful Hooty is. And it becomes apparent when you connect the dots that all 3 of the story lines from this episode take place in parallel. Meaning that from the time the King, Luz and Amity were in the living room. Hooty had at most 10 mins to 1. Bake Ida sleeping cookies and place them where she would find them 2. Construct the entire tunnel of love, kidnap Amity (Lets just call it what it is), and leave notes for Luz to find her 3. Aquire? Little Nose and convince them to help run a Demon health class for King run medical tests, and then hold the party that happens afterward This is a huge amount of work even on the Boiling Isles with magic and should go to show that while Eda may be the most powerful Witch, Hooty is clearly the most if not close to the most powerful Demon on the Isles

The moon clocked figure hunted and capture the owl beast to make the curse with it trapping the essence of the owl beast in the spell ( probably sacrificed it for whatever important ingredient went into the curse spell ) it’s essentially its spirit or consciousness of a wild animal feeling trapped scared and angered at the fact its not free like being in a cage only bonded unwillingly to a host witch ironically gives it common ground with Eda to connect better with help of the elixir to calm it down and stress being something that makes it worse. Seeing it thrash around in that murky black water made me think of it like a representation of when Eda is stressed the beast drowns in her anxiety and thrashes around looking to take control for escape.
