"Something Real" is one of Post's best songs. That choir in the back with the slightly somber production and his singing is absolutely fire.

This is by far my favorite Post Malone album. Ever since Feeling Whitney and Leave on Stoney I've been waiting for an album like this. Something raw, with live instruments/strings, honest and full of life. Something more than the usual trap/rap/hip hop. He shines on every genre because of how inspired he is musically. Man grew up on rock, metal, rap, punk, country, you name it, and I love everything he does. But then Stay came along on b&B and man I was sure that kind of music is where he shines the most, especially his vocals and the raw feeling of what he writes that he tries to communicate to the audience. Stay is one of my favorites and it was co-written with Andrew Watt, who won 2021 Grammy for producer of the year and co-produced/composed a ton on this new album along with other producers and writers of reference. Just saw his Apple Music interview with Zane Lowe and this is without a doubt his best work vocally and songwritting wise, imo. Definitely more poppy/alternate rock-ish but it's a strength for him, I think. You can definitely feel like he was way looser writting this album, without any pressure. You can feel he genuinely made music he enjoyed and not just because labels demanded this or that. No need for features, just get in a studio and vibe with some strings. Now he's touring with a band and shit, looks surreal.

Huge Posty fan here! This album is different vibes for him and I love it! His guitar playing is 🔥. Standouts for me are the obvious Chemicals, Mourning, & Overdrive. Also just as good are Enough is Enough, Novacandy, Buyer Beware, Laugh it off. Green thumb. All of them actually! Such a banger!!

One of the greatest albums I have ever heard. He infused 80s sounds like Pink Floyd, Phil Collins, Sting, and made it 2023 without losing who Post is! Harry’s House? NAH POSTY’S HOUSE! An absolute genius of an artist. We don’t deserve Post Malone🔥

Post has been in my spotify top 5 every year since Stoney came out and his music has genuinely gotten me through some very dark periods of my high school and college years. Not to be one of those "their music saved my life" people but it was definitely a sort of therapy for me . But his music has been with me through the good times too. The strange thing for me is that when he does drop a new project, it takes 10-15 playthroughs for me to truly be enthralled by it. On first listen to 12 Carat, I dont know what the reason is, but I thought it was his weakest work. Now I consider it to be his best if we include the bonus tracks (Hateful, Waiting for Never). I had the same reaction to this album even in anticipation of knowing he will be changing up his style and making this kind of music. Even with the 3 singles (Mourning, Chemical, Overdrive) I was just thinking "It will be a change of pace for him and there will be a few good songs but probably his weakest album.....30+ full listen-throughs so far and I want to give him his flowers. I really think this project is extraordinarily special, even for someone as talented as Austin is.
