The song was written to her son speaking to the divorce. She is speaking to him. The symbolism starting with the crow cawing in beginning, the sheet music blowing out of the car without a care, the transition to color, on and on referencing and ending with the delicate crystals at the end. I heard that she dedicated this album and of course this song included , to her son . Basically she is explaining the divorce and decisions that she made to him ( when he becomes old enough to understand). She's telling him to take it easy on her for divorcing his father ; which broke up their family.

Awesome review/reaction #Easyonme is actually for her son, explaining to him why she had to give up and went with a divorce. She is simply asking him to be easy on her with her decision for her own happiness despite the consequences her son may come around. It explains well in the 2nd verse. In 2nd verse, she says "You can't deny how hard I've tried. I changed who I was to put you both first//But now I give up" She even bought her ex-husband a house right by hers so he could have the best of both parents.
