This doesn't mean he's not attractive! He means that Benedict's beauty is not conventional, that he's peculiar, but that his facial features are somehow attractive anyways. Benedict has first of all lots of personality, and it wouldn't be hard to me to imagine him as a teenager being unattractive or bullied for his uncommon facial features, then he grew up, he got mature mentally and physically and now people ,despite of the gender, can't help finding him sexy!
