If there was any game that was a microcosm of just WHO two of the greatest to play this game were, it was this game. The performance put on by Allen Iverson and Ray Allen was legendary. As much as I love *Fiserv Forum,* I miss the *Bradley Center.* #34 is a special number for the Milwaukee Bucks. The *Mecca Arena* belonged to #34 Terry Cummings. *Fiserv Forum* _belongs_ to #34 Giannis Antetokounmpo, but the *Bradley Center* belonged to #34 Ray Allen.

People only remember his 3pt shooting. He was much more than that.
@blueblur22733 жыл бұрын
@@bakgammon Yep he could take it to the hole, and play defense. He was complete a 2 guard as there was. The only reason he never got much recognition is because he wasn't as flashy as Kobe, A.I., Carter and T-mac. But he could definitely hang with those guys.
@joshromero-burgan98603 жыл бұрын
@@blueblur2273 idk about all that. At this particular time Kobe Vince tmac and Ai were literally THE TOP 4 perimeter players in the league and were among the top in scoring. In Milwaukee he barely cracked 22 a game as where Kobe Vince ai and tmac were all above 25/26/27 to 30+ a game . Was he the best volume 3 pt shooter sure but he shot if I remember 38% from 3 this year on 6 attempts a game where Vince shot 41% from 3 also on 6 attempts a game . Honestly ray had a better numbers with seattle . He was getting a lil older wasnt quite as athletic BUT his jumpshot had gotten even better. I just dont think he had the offensive impact across the board prime Kobe vince ai or tmac had but he was all star level
@blueblur22733 жыл бұрын
@@joshromero-burgan9860 Ultimately I would agree he wasn't better than these 4 guys. But I do think he was very close much like Pierce. One of the reasons Ray was barely cracking 22 in Milwaukee is because he was playing with a big 3. So he was splitting shots with Sam Cassell and Glenn "Big Dog" Robinson. So Ray was only getting up 16 shots a game compared to the other shooting guards like Kobe, A.I., Carter and T-mac who were getting well over 20 and didn't have to worry about splitting shots with two other people. When he got to Seattle he didn't have a big 3 therefore he got more shot attempts. In the 01 playoffs, Ray Allen was able to increase his numbers to 25. Not to mention he was playing pretty evenly with A.I. in the ECF that year up until he got hurt in Game 7. Not only was he able to guard A.I. the best on his team(something Vince Carter didn't do in his series against A.I. nor could A.I. do against him in this series) but he also gave A.I. the business whenever A.I. was guarding him. Again I'm not saying Ray was better than the 4 guys but in this series he showed he was more of a complete player than both A.I. and Vince Carter.

Man,I'm sure thinking Ray Allen could of hit for 60 in this one but the lead was so huge he took his foot off the gas and I love AI but he just took too many damn shots,I realize he was a scorer first but it would have been nice to see him get his teamates involved sometimes!!But I guess its also what made him probably a top 10 pure scorer all time!!

also the vast majority of the bucks points were 3 pointers that they made!! The Buicks rarely ever went to the basket, so they did not go to the foul line because of it. Iverson went to the goal and so did other Sixers players, which is why Philly went to the foul line and shot more free throws!

@blueblur22733 жыл бұрын
@@rooseveltdarbey9493 Yep on top of that Mutombo was a big reason they even got to the Finals. Not only did he give the Sixers a size advantage against all the teams in the East which allowed them to win the rebounding battle against everyone in the east but he was the defensive anchor to that defense as well. He locked the paint down in those playoffs against everyone but Shaq. That's the reason he won defensive player of the year that year. No way is a Theo Ratliff making as big a difference as Mutombo. Mutombo was easily the 2nd most important and best player on that team.
