One thing I absolutely love about horology is the collision of beauty, expression, precision, and history; simultaneously connecting past, present and future.

You just keep producing better and better videos. The way you make use of history, art, culture, music, science, architecture, scenery, food, drink etc and wrap it all in a watch or time related theme is absolutely incredible and so compelling. Us Irish people don't compliment each other much... but my God... you did an incredible job again with this video.

I almost literally never comment on ANYTHING on KZbin. I preface with that to apply emphasis to the magnitude of my respect and admiration for the production of this video. Truly brilliant. Your channel is excellent, but this? This is exceptional. Thanks for your time, expertise, and vision. Sincerely.

In the late 1960's I was a young airman at a remote site that depended on precise timekeeping. We were visited every year by a team that hand carried a cesium beam clock to synchronize our clock to the US Naval Observatory in Annapolis. The clock had its own seat on the plane.

Terrific video, Oisin ! ....It is really amazing to reflect on how your watch channel has evolved over these few years into a channel very often about watches, yes...but also so much more: cultural, historical, scientific, musical and even philosophical elements are often mixed into the equation. The photography is worthy of awards, in my humble opinion. These added layers make your channel quite unique, highly entertaining... and actually "timeless". Someone watching these videos 10, 15 or 20 years later will certainly be as entertained as we are now. Not a bad legacy to add to your achievements as a musician and producer. Nice job.

Oisin, WOW just WOW, I have been watching your video's for about a year, like you I have been fascinated in mechanical watches for about 5 years. First it was video's from watch makers , learning how they work and the history of time keeping, the invention of the Escapement, now well down the rabbit hole. This is your best work yet my friend.

Oisin, I would love to see you do a video about the Antikythera mechanism that was discovered only 120 years ago off of Kythera island in the Aegean Sea in Greece. I know you would knock it out of the park. Being a Greek I am very proud to know that my ancestors were the predecessors of the modern computer and the automatic watch . Not only a machine that could tell time but show the phases of the moon and all the celestial planets in the sky. This was truly a machine that was able to tell time and give precise data for many things important to the Ancient Greeks . It was truly over 2200 years before it’s time . Imagine if the Antikythera mechanism wasn’t lost 2200 years years ago and it was improved over the centuries just imagine where we would be today .

Your content is next level, this video has not only transcended anything any watch youtuber has ever done, your creative talents are well beyond any other one man band youtuber that I have seen. If I was selfish, I'd say keep it coming, but seriously you are are bound to move into the Producer/creation space where your talents are sorely needed. Thats my opinion. :). ps, how no one has mentioned the principles actually involved in timekeeping in this manner or at all, is actually insane.
