"2am" It's 2am and I've gone and lost my friends but I can’t sleep alone again No I can't sleep alone, I just wanna go home and it’s 2am again And all these years I’ve been running from my fears, but I can’t sleep alone again And all my life I've been looking for a light that I can't reignite again I know that it’s all over when we go, when we go our way I hoped that we'd be stronger but now we know, now we know. No I can't sleep alone, I just wanna go home but I sleep alone again I've been here before, I was always wanting more but never knew when to end I'm black & blue I was always there for you but now you've gone again No I can't sleep alone, I just wanna go home and it’s 2am again We know that it's all over when we go, when we go our way But I hoped that we'd be stronger, but now I know... now I know... It's the nights when I keep you in my mind that I hoped that I'd be fine but I’ve started showing signs of another late night of another night time oh I hoped that you'd be mine It's the nights, it's the nights, when I keep you in my mind oh I hoped that I’d be fine, but I've started showing signs of another late night of another night time I lost myself again, I just need time to mend Some quiet and some care, some time to repair Would you be my guide? Take me by the side Make me up a bed, forget the things I said I lost myself again, I just need time to mend Some quiet & some care, some time to repair Make me up a bed, forget the things I said The things I said then at 2am at 2am at 2am at 2am

Thank You Foals, great uplift after a sad COVID gap year. You guys are awesome! Since then, I'm become a father during COVID and my little boy is 18 months old and he loves Foals!

This song is my favourite so far from LIY. The sound of a studio version is incredible insane enough. But the live version made it to another level. Glad to see you guys live in Newcastle early this year. Love you guys tons x

Guys, this song came out in one moment in my life, when I became completely alone, and... it, aong side with Holy Fire and ENSWBL... kept me fighting with my troubles... Thank you❤️ I personally really love your evolution as a band, yes there is always foals in every your album, but it's always moving, changing, like we, as human beings do, that's awesome! Yes, i'd wanted to hear more Neptune's kind of melancholic psychodelic meditation sound, as well as i want to get back to some moments in the past. But it is the past and what matters is present. I mean you're the best guys, keep it up)

It’s kind of sad that Yannis admits they are actively trying NOT to sound like on Antidotes anymore.. Antidotes is my favourite album ever and there is nothing out there that’s remotely similar. I’d love to hear more songs with this poppy, Avantgarde Math-Rock vibe like Tron, Two Steps Twice or Balloons but I guess it’s never going to happen. P.S.: I love the new Foals, too. I just wish there was more of that genre they created in 2008.

Antidotes was released 14 years ago. Now as a band, being stuck in the same sound and doing the same album over and over again, that's sad

@Ballon D'orson all music is subjective. I love modern foals, enswbl1 is one of my favorite albums of all time, and the first time I ever listened to antidotes I actually hated it.

@@adam____________ arguably since holy fire their records have sounded very similar imo, a bit like how interpol's albums all have a similar sheen after antics. they could've gone more experimental rather than poppier or heavier, many of the b sides between antidotes and total life forever encapsulate that potential. It's a bit of a shame a rejection of being tied down to the antidotes sound became a rejection of more thought provoking experimental work and a focus on by the numbers soft rock, still love them though!

@@Mf-mc2ji emphasis on "arguably" cause I really don't know how anyone could possibly say their sound hasn't changed since Holy Fire lmao. Even both parts of ENSWBL don't sound the same and Life Is Yours is an entirely different genre altogether yet they retained their original style through all these years. I really think you (plural) need to let go of an album that's almost 15 years old, it's so unfair to musicians to ask them to keep doing the same stuff. Reading your reply it almost feels like you haven't even listened to their music post Holy Fire, no offence lol

@@adam____________ @Adam heya that's chill bro!! perhaps that' true, maybe the prism of nostalgia makes me feel like their earlier work is more transgressive. However I do think. their first two albums very specifically had a specific identity. holy fire broke that for me, some of those qualities with moon, milk and black spiders were interesting. But around then they started trying to be "heavier" and yannis started crooning more. I think at that stage you saw foals becoming a more sing song writer based group with mathy flourishes, and those characteristics despite differences have stayed the same with every subsequent album.(holy fire, waht went down, enswbl) For example what went down has tracks like London thunder which echoes late night, same could be Said for providence and night swimmers. everything saved has the same sheen, anyway, I think you've missed the point a little bit, Like no one wants four antidotes sounding albums, instead it seems current fans want foals ballads with a sprinkling of mathy guitar, electronic pop banger, one heavier one, and that's all we've got with a slightly different vibe each album. listen to something like glaciers and then listen to 2am, clearly they've became way more middle of the road and their tracks have less creativity imo.

'Missing those types of nights where it gets to a certain time and then you're kinda confronted with a type of variety of options and it can lead you to any variety of results or places.' AKA just say something that's someting.

Now it is very scary in Donetsk: the city is under numerous bombings, the Ukrainian army has been bombing civilians for the third day, several children have died, Ukrainians have fired at least 80 bullets at civilians in Donetsk. People abandon their personal vehicles and run to underground shelters - the streets were empty in a matter of minutes.
