First impression based a few videos I’ve seen is it doesn’t look all impressive to me. Less flys probably had to do with more wind. The reefs look like there will be some good snorkeling opportunities.

It's also possible that they're a more Seasonal fly that has a short fast breeding period, and then dies out quickly, so that they're only a true problem there for at best maybe a month to a month and a half, then they're done hopefully for the year.

Could also have easily been that the fly population seemed to be a bit down that 2nd time on the Lookout/Lighthouse Island as much because it was a grey-er more overcast day that day than the previous time you stopped there on the trip out toward the Castaway place, as anything, just sayin'!!

I think the fly situation will get better with time. People need to remember that this was only the 2nd time having food on the island (the last vlog was the first) and it's already better. Yes, that could have been because of weather, but covering the food and having fans will help. My biggest issue is that the island just doesn't feel Disney enough. It just feels like a basic island vacation destination. It needs more Disney flare. Plus it was opened too soon. I'd say give it 6 months to a year for the foliage to grow, let them get the kinks out, and get the flies under control.

Seems like it's going to take 5 to 8 years before the plants have filled in, and the "insect" situation is resolved. The trails to the outer reaches of island looked pretty schetchy and un-monitored.
