Best Day At Disney's Hollywood Studios & Dinner At Port Orleans! Goodbye Cabins Staycation Day 2!

In today's vlog we start our day at the Fort Wilderness cabins and then have a little Trails End breakfast. Then we head to Disney's Hollywood Studios where we have the best day! Jackson is the rebel spy again! He rides Tower of Terror for the very first time and we have lunch at Pizza Rizzo, which was actually pretty good! We end our night with dinner at the Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory at the Port Orleans Resort. It was a really great day!

I agree with your assessment of the dining plan. There are times we go and LOVE using it for budget reasons (sometimes it’s nice to have most food paid for ahead of time) - other times we go and it’s not the right trip (for example, if we are going to holiday events or Epcot festivals) - it’s definitely not one size fits all for whether it’s worth it or not

Such a brave kid. I rode Tower of Terror for the first time when I was three, I was terrified once we got to the boiler room. I wanted leave, but my mom insisted we stay because we already wanted a long time. I had nightmares for years and would refuse to go into any building that I couldn't see inside of. To cope with my trama, I would draw pictures of the ride, and doing so helped my become a better artist through my creative expressions. I eventually conquered my fear when I went back to WDW at 16, but I am glad I had that experience because much of my life would've been completely different if it wasn't for Tower of Terror.

My parents brought sis and I to Disney in 1995 ish, I was 9 years old then, and I couldn’t wait to ride the tower of terror! It’s still the best thrill ride in my heart. So glad you could bring Jackson on it. He’s so brave, and brought back memories. Thank you! Also the first Toy Story was the big Disney/Pixar movie back then. I also remember the Toy Story parade with the green army toys walking.

Hey Tim, I know you've tried Minnie Vans before, but at Fort Wilderness I think they could come in particular handy there! They're the only ridehare authorized to pick up and drop off inside the actual campground and can go directly to your campground or cabin. Also if you wanted to go to another Disney resort they can take you there, no questions asked since they're allowed to bypass the security booths. And for added peace of mind they have two child safety seats in every vehicle. They're pricier than other options but they compete with the Lyft Black XL ride types and every vehicle is driven by an actual Disney Cast Member.

Jackson is so brave! Me in my 30s would never ride it. I am too scared! Also can you guys do a review on the umbrella you showed in the past video. The one that has a fan and you can attach a water bottle. I live in Arkansas and it gets as hot and humid as Florida. I am a teacher and want to use it during playground hours to keep cool. Chip & Dale's Harvest at the Garden Grill is really good. Plus that one's a character meet & greet (not on the dinning plan though). Don't know if you'd ever eaten there or not. But I liked it. That is also a rotating restaurant but it takes an hour to make a full rotation and pretty much about the time it takes to get seated, get the food, eat and pay. If you'd never eaten there it's definitely worth checking out. That's at Epcot.

Jackson is WAY more courageous than I am going on the Tower of Terror. I went once when it first opened as the theming looked so wonderful. That's back when it had one short drop and one long one to the bottom. I was hyperventilating so bad by the bottom they almost called the EMT's because they thought I was having a heart attack. So kudo's to Jackson for being such a brave little guy!

We use liquid IV in the parks. It really helps give you a boost. It's really good to add to all of your water bottles to replace electrolytes. I have it several times throughout the day when feeling sluggish in the park. You could put less of the packet in Jackson's bottle. If they ever offer the free dining again that would be good to try maybe for you guys. We stay at pop and utilize the food court for breakfast then something in parks for dinner. Afternoon we get a snack or split a lunch together. Imagine we do the parks for 10 days in the heat!! 😅

you can put the special cups in the dishwasher, but i don´t know about the top. But I´ve had mine for over 2 years and i put mine in the dishwasher and its still good. You can´t put it in the microwave though. That´s one brave little boy. when i went, they aksked me if i wanted to im like ¨Nope¨ and i like drop rides.
