In today's vlog we head to Disney World's Magic Kingdom for another fun night of Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party 2023! In this vlog we try 13 party exclusive foods and treats with our friend Nick, TheThemeParkDad! We also meet lots of characters and ride some rides! It was a great night full of spooky fun and food! @@lori211 Are ALL foods/treats representing fire? It’s the everything/all aspect that is the issue. But depending on the item, black pepper, garlic, other spices & food colouring, etc.

I know right? Since my pregnancy (35 years ago!!!) I have been unable to eat anything the least bit spicy...my mouth burns, I choke, it`s ridiculous! I love trying different foods, I really do, but wherever you go anymore, in Canada at least, so many of the dishes on menus contain chili etc...What the heck!

Food is subjective and that’s as it should be! I love spicy foods and have been very upset with how bland and one-note a lot of theme park food is. Just as some don’t like spicy, plenty more do! I think it’s a welcome change and there are always lots of choices for all.

My opinion on Nightmare Before Christmas. It’s like a handover of seasons film. So I think you watch it on Halloween as a Halloween film that nicely round off that season and it builds you up for Christmas. Oogie Boogie can stay the heck away from my Christmas 😅

I just returned from my first Not So Scary! The Sally cake pop was DELICIOUS! I loved everything: the headless horseman, the parade with the grave diggers, the merchandise, the trick or treating, the fireworks show, etc! It was the best!

The parade and fireworks are the perfect time to ride the 7 dwarfs mine train as well. We always rent a locker and I bring 2 gallon ziplock bags so if we get full on our treat bags one of the kids takes them to the locker and dumps them into the ziplock bags. I always use the candy to give away at Halloween. The kids eat theirs.

I will accept “both” for whether Nightmare Before Christmas is a Christmas or Halloween movie, however…any good holiday movie generally revolves around “finding” or “rediscovering” the spirit of a particular holiday in the end. Based on that, it’s a Halloween movie.

The music from A Goofy Movie is iconic. The two most recognizable songs are I2I and Stand Out. I love this kind of content! There should be more videos that tackle one specific thing during a MNSSHP night (ie one night entertainment only, one night food only, one night meet and greets, one night merch and trick or treating, etc). That’s so much better because you get to show more than just one overview video for one party night. Granted it wouldn’t be cheap but that would be my ideal video schedule for these Halloween parties

Love the discussion about Nightmare before Christmas. I’ve always wondered why they don’t do the Haunted Mansion overlay at Disneyland as Halloween first then Christmas. They are from Halloween town and Jack is the Pumpkin King. It’s a little silly to go on it and he says Happy Holidays to you during Halloween time 😂. It’s such a toss up, is it Halloween or Christmas 🤔

Nightmare before Christmas is definitely a Halloween movie and like 20% Christmassy… there’s only like ten minutes worth of Christmas town and the rest in Halloween town about Jack figuring out his midlife pumpkin king crisis haha

While I do think the movie bridges the gap of Halloween to Christmas, The Nightmare Before Christmas is like 70/30 a Christmas movie since it's about discovering the Christmas spirit through Jack corrupting the holiday. Even if you skip that overall aspect, "What's This?" is more specifically about Jack experiencing Christmas Town for the first time so it's hard to argue that as a Halloween song - like you could have Nine Inch Nails doing the most industrial goth version of "Jingle Bells," but it'd still be "Jingle Bells." PS - Sally is a ragdoll and is filled of leaves.
