Welcome to Toledo Zoo, Ajani!

Watch Ajani, our newest addition to the Toledo Zoo's elephant herd, journey from Sedgwick County Zoo to his new home in Tembo Trail! 🐘💙
Our dedicated teams collaborated for months to ensure a smooth transition for this 23-year-old African elephant.
Ajani will serve as an ambassador for his species alongside Twiggy and Renee.

They’ve done a pretty good job introducing Ajani to the Elephant Family! Who knows in the future they’ll probably have some Baby Elephants!

They are going to have baby Elephants actually, he artificially inseminated Renee back in 2022, so it looks he'll get to see his kid in person now that he's here😁
