Just did a 22-mile trip half city, half highway in my new Tuscon Blue. I monitored the eco gauge but didn't go crazy, feathering the gas to stay in battery mode as much as possible. One trick I used was to go into sport mode on the highway to completely charge the battery. Result was 58.6 mpg! No misprint. First full tan of gas without regard to fuel economy was 39 mpg. Awesome.

ok, this is where I begin. I found this review likely one of the best. I test drove this car in late summer. It is an incredible drive for the money. My first Tucson was the redesigned 2016, which I traded up to the 2019 Ultimate. I have zero complaints about this product. They are comfortable, and a great driving machine in my opinion. I do get that you guys try to engage all driving styles, however, this car is meant to be efficient. I dare say there are few Hybrid's out there that give the driving experience that this one does. In my opinion, it's like sitting in a Genesis, and the comfort and power are just what I personally love about this car. As for the lack of physical buttons, yes, I agree with you, one get's used to it. In closing, the only frustrating part is that I have to wait until May to get mine, as I ordered it after driving it. ( I live in Canada, and ours are not going into production until March ) I love this car, and I love the one I have, so I highly recommend this car to those that are on the fence. Thanks for your insight.

I always enjoy your reviews. The Tucson's fuel economy isn't class-leading (Toyota), neither is its performance (Mazda), but it's a solid and unique (divisive?) looking all-rounder. I've had one for a couple months and there really isn't much that I've found to gripe about. Since it's a brand new redesign, the question of long-term reliability is probably the biggest demerit for this vehicle.

@@cpall056 Not as badly as I expected, but I'm relatively fastidious, and dust and fingerprints do still accumulate. The infotainment screen in particular collects a lot of fingerprints / skin oil, but the display is also nice and bright so you can only see it when the vehicle/display is turned off. I recommend either keeping a decent sized microfiber cloth in your glovebox or, if fingerprints *really* bother you, there are stick-on covers you can buy for all the piano black surfaces in the Tucson. I don't have them myself, but I've seen pictures of some of them on forums and they looked pretty nice.

Hi guys. So I was interested on getting a 2022 Hyundai Santa Fe Calligraphy then I started watching KZbin reviewers like this one so I was intrigued when they mentioned 37-38MPG for 2022 Hyundai Tucson Limited Hybrid. However, I started digging deep because I couldn’t make up my mine on a Calligraphy or Tucson Hybrid. So I started hitting the forums and I have read soooo many comments of ppl getting less then 30MPG on the Tucson Hybrid but also forums of a lot of ppl mentioning how they are having jerky/stuttering driving experiences after purchasing the Tucson. After reading the forums and the nightmare that ppl are going through with the 2022 Tucson, I think I am now second guessing on getting a Tucson and avoiding going through the headache of transmission issues or jerky transmission experiences and just getting calligraphy.

But Honda in the Touring package , their TOL model, does not include Ventilated seats !! How did the seats feel on a longer trip? Wait so the sound system differs for different markets or did you say the wrong brand name for the sound system? I have the plug in version with the "Advanced" trim. Should be roughly the same trim you have with the premium sound system but mine is a KRELL system.

Anybody got any pull with Hyundai, I am trying to find out when the 2022 Tucson Plug in Hybrid is going to arrive in the U.S.A. and Canada. They originally said Summer now I see on their pre-order that it is fall 2021. I am wondering if the new fall date is because they have to fulfill their pre-orders from back in January 2021. The local dealer doesn't seem to know although a month ago he told me mid-August.

Adaptive cruise slams on brakes giving low score for smooth driving. @8:00 redlines the tach (during 700 mile break in?). Get better mpg in lower trim "Blue". Easy to get 40+ in combined (under 55). 30 mpg Highway @ 70MPH. Engine kick in I don't feel but notice when engine shuts off and EV only mode starts. 100,000 battery warranty does not transfer to 2nd owner. Ends at 60k for second owner. Dealer lied. No Spare tire. Get trailer hitch before delivery if you want one or end up like me being promised something that I'm taking care of ($500).
