8:45 Worth pointing out perhaps that the first class upgrade is quite flexible. Let's say you travel from Interlaken to Zürich via Bern and you bought a 2nd class ticket. You leave Interlaken and everything is beautiful, except when changing trains in Bern you notice the Zürich-bound train is absolutely _packed!_ So you simply go to 1st class and purchase the 1st class _upgrade just for the Bern-Zürich leg._ Open the SBB app and ask for a ticket _from Bern to Zürich_ and then select the option to buy _just the upgrade_ (not the 1st class ticket!). And when the ticket controller comes, you show him/her two QR codes: your original 2nd class Interlaken-Zürich one and the 1st class Bern-Zürich upgrade.

Thank you for the detailed information, would it be better to purchase the half fare card first and then the saver day pass for a specific day that you will need the saver day pass? I believe you mentioned it in the video but I just want to confirm. Thank you!

You can do it in any sequence, you will simply need to show both the day of travel. But you could get the half fare card after and still buy the discounted ticket earlier.

No it will only be valid when in Switzerland, you'll need a separate ticket from Munich until the Swiss border

You don’t need to register it. You can simply show your QR code you received. It won’t work to register it, but you also don’t need it. Hope it helps! :)
