right i was thrown when she first appeared bc i forgot abt her and thought she was only there for last season and i still felt like a love interest for rafe was random. but the way they’re going abt it is better for developing his storyline which was my concern. i think it also helps she’s more of a character instead of only existing as an extension of rafe
