Ofcourse scripting exists in efootball.. both in offline & online.. its less on superstar difficulty... but if you play on Legend u will understand.. The catchup bug which u r talking about was also present in pes 2017. The Kick-off glitch is still present. so its not something new.. Now u decide whether u want to play to enjoy the game or play to win.. If you want to play to enjoy or u r looking for a simulation there is no football game currently in the market. If u want to play to win then there are ways to combat the script.. Ofcourse u will get that one game where nothing u do works but in other games where there is script/momentum u can overcome it to a certain extent.. For eg:.. For kick-off glitch put ur team on defensive and select ur dmf or cb & pull him back towards the keeper and head the ball away. Also.. when ur leading put ur team on defensive cause ur script/momentum will be favouring the opponent. Also, do not try to pass from the back, always have a tall striker. U need a tall striker cause when script kicks in & if u have the ball then dribbling, passing stats, all go for a toss, only thing u can do is clear the ball or look for safe passes where there is no one around.. Ur players will be slow to turn & also will not pass the ball where u want it to go...

I had to stop playing, Konami have butchered their chance. Players are so stiff and laboured, can't react to what I'm telling them to do with any form of speed - on or off the ball. Feels like I'm actively fighting the game code, dreadful.

I hate it when stats start to not matter, it began when they moved to the fox engine for PES 2014 and ever since stats haven't been as important as PES 2013 and the games before, on those games stats were key.

Spot on mate, if a players abilities don't matter then it's absolutely pointless. I honestly think it's the top ranked/"pro" players who did the moaning to nerf pace, dribbling, heading etc. Because they play the 1-2 through the middle meta so they don't dribble as they barely want to even touch the ball twice to use the 1-2's to exploit the lack of defensive response to that style. They don't really need pace when defenders track nothing with that style either, so pace and dribbling would just be a tool to be used against them on the counter just like in real ife and we can't have realistic things happen now can we 🙄 Heading also would be another counter to the central 1-2 meta, as their formations have the centre of the park overloaded, so if heading didn't get a nerfing, then getting that ball out wide against formations that essentially don't have wide men would then be another tactical advantage the meta plumbs wouldn't want to go against them.

The reason you feel the game is so hard on you is because EA sports use DDA in all of their online gaming . DDA (Dynamic difficulty adjustment) is a patent they use in few ways to increase your engagement with their games. "DDA" in the most simple way I can explain it, is used to make the game more equal between a more experienced player and a less skilled player. This is done in order to close the skill gap and increase the engagement of both players by making the less skilled player less frustrated and to prevent him from quiting the game. On the other side, an experienced player may feel bored if he wins to many games so they make the game harder on him. The reason they involve this in their games is because all of their games includes extra transactions in packs and coins and dlcs and that's where they get a lot of their money from. When they use DDA they basically making your team play bad by decreasing their stats or increasing your opponents stats and vice versa. this psychological manipulation is used against bad players and even if you are a good player. When your player are not preforming the way you think they should you will think there is something wrong with your team or players, so the next thing you'll think about is opening up some packs. Those packs which you get from objectives or if you want a short cut you'll just pay. the chances of getting the players you want are also controlled by the algorithm. The sad thing is that it's a cycle. They won't let you win to much and they will keep you frustrated just in the exect right amount, so you keep on playing and engage with this system, the more you engage with the game the more likely you are to buy packs. If you feel your players miss clear shots on target, your passes are interrupted all the time, if your AI starts to act weird in defense and offense and no matter what you do, your player suddenly become slow, and out paced no matter which players you use, its because the system is scriptted so the other player will be favorite. It's important to note it goes both ways, and all players experience it, so if you feel you win the game easily its because your players are boosted, or you lose no matter what you do its because they change your setting mid play. if you will win too much they will try to make it harder on you. From gaming perspective it makes the game less satisfying to win because you feel you are being helped and very frustrating to lose because you feel the force of the algorithm against you. Pro players will still find ways to overcome this using "meta" knowledge of the games and "broken" methods from experience and still it will be very hard because of the scriptting, but to the average player he will find it very frustrating and it is made that way to make you more engaged and more likely to buy packs from their store and merchandise. Everything from the way the menus are designed to daily objectives and the packing rewarding system is part of the whole psychological method they use in combination with the DDA/scripting/handicapped system so you will be frustrated and change your team constantly. The streamers are part of it, even if they don't know about the whole system or bellive in the dda system, they get free packs which they promote on their streams to make you feel you have to get the same players. They also had a law suit on this subject which was dropped. The patent is on the internet and free to read. They use DDA against you. They use the packs system against you. They use streamers and marketing teams in millions of dollars. It's not the bags or the inconsistent gameplay , it's not your internet connection, it's not your squad, its not your formation, its not your tactics, it's not your skills, It's about money... It's geniusly evil. Most of the people just can't observe and connect all the dots or accept they have been gaslighted and frustrated and angry for years just because of money scheme. but it's really easy to understand if you are not too emotionally invested in this game.

Every sports game has scripting and it is so stupid. If I am better than the other player, I should be winning EASILY. But instead my team takes horrible turns, terrible passes, gets beat by pace regardless of how much higher it is compared to the defenders.

Broken engine, catch up bug has been present in the game since 2014, it's a glitch simple as that. About the scripting, I've never felt like I was loosing control over my team, not being able to connect two passes, players acting weirdly off the ball etc. but I did feel a momentum where cpu or human "had" to score against me.

Finally someone makes a video about that shit😊 you the best bro. Scripting is real and it get even better when you in d.5 or higher! Example. Counter attack o pass to my striker but the ball goes back inside my half and into the feet of the opponent 😂 then he scores. You have 1 min left for the equalizer and then press full power for pass but it's going like 2 meterss😂 its real !!!! And from d.5 on passing gets even worse and the ball likes to stuck at players chest for example. It's just a mess!!! Also if you tale pass level 1or2 the ball just goes where it wants to go. Cross to the team mate on penalty spot but it goes to striker and goalie gets it. Pass level 3 is to slow and team mates stuck and don't go to the ball P.s after min 66 nothing is working anymore. The cdm assessment is very true. I started with Kante who has all his defensive stats 94 and above, and Rice who is also like Kante and they didn't cut it for me even though they have higher stats. Then I find Camavinga who has less stats defensively but nothing gets pass him.

Yeah these issues come up regularly, depends on the day, on someday there is no friction (ball rolling till infinity), sometimes possession is too good that you cant snatch the ball, sometimes you can't control the ball with 90+ ball playing stats.. Now another issue has come in recent weeks is where I believe they have started inserting scripting. So, what happens is even if I anticipate a pass and try to sprint in that direction, the sprint is not that fast, and the ball reaches anyway. It's like the engine has decided that the ball is going to the player no matter what. Konami is testing something new every day. Nowadays I just play a game every day and check what Konami is testing. If it is playable then I go on to play a few more because it is not going to be the same the next day.

I have started playing FUMA the last about 2 weeks and I have to say it has been an absolute blast. The key is starting at lower difficulty with the CPU and assisted shooting then switch to manual shooting later. Funny enough I have used the corner routine Truebrit uses and I have scored more corners than ever

I also never find 5 bars opponents, always play 4 bars, and the connection is incredibly inconsistent, same 4 bar connection some matches feel fluid and responsive enough and some others feel like I'm playing in the mud and that I have to press the buttons 2 seconds in advance.

Rafael leao was 90 rated in your squad that's why he was slow. He will go up to 99 rated. By the way scripting is there in division league top matches and in some events. Change the managers & tactics, you might see some results. Defenders will catch you while dribbling at speed that's good otherwise people will spam with speedy players. It was like that before a few updates back. Now it's good.

I recently went back to Pes 18 after finding a 2023 option file. Sure a lot of players are made up and the graphics are outdated, but the gameplay is even better than Pes 21 and they have the Champions League! I'm not sure what happened to the defensive AI in Pes 21 because in 2018 players jump in front of the ball to cut out passes, also the passes are much better.

I don't think it's scripting, it's more of a case that the game is just incredibly broken and unbalanced. Not to mention everything is so heavily automated and assisted now, it seems like with every passing update we (the players) are given even less control. I mean the game pretty much forces you to play PA1/2 ping pong just to retain the ball. There is a reason why you see nearly every opponent online using that same stupid 3 striker meta BS through the middle. You have to create those overloads and play as quickly as possible because it's the only way to get the better of the AI defenders. Nothing else works. It's time we accepted that this series is no longer designed for football purists, it's instead aimed at younger players and casuals now who are more likely to throw their money away spinning for flashy cards like they do on Fifa. This is why Konami have significantly narrowed the skill gap, it helps player retention, which in turn leads to more potential profit from microtransactions. This game isn't a football simulator anymore, it's a cash grab.

@@colachofcbNo doubt there is some form of manipulation that happens at times, momentum shifts and so on, I just don't think it's as prevalent as some say though. A lot of the weird stuff that goes on in the game can actually be attributed to things like bad coding and broken mechanics anyway. Meanwhile players who rely on control assistance for example, can often confuse predetermined inputs as 'scripting' when the game doesn't execute the command they anticipated. That being said, overall the game is just a mess. I'm a long time PES fan and love the series, but I had to stop playing efootball for the sake of my mental health. Every match is a struggle fighting with the controls and the awful delay online. I genuinely don't see how anyone finds enjoyment out of playing this sorry excuse for a football game. It's like 40% skill 60% RNG. Waste of time.

The Rice-Leao thing is not about scripting! The game clearly states that the "speed" attribute only comes into play when players don't have the ball. If they are dribbling they all move at the same maximum speed (acceleration still matters though). Thus Rice was able to catch up with Leao because the defender was not dribbling which allowed him to use his 80something speed to catch up to the attacker's "standard" speed while dribbling.

I still play PES 21 until today. And i play on legend difficulty for long. Im tired looking at mbappe or Daniel James lost pursuing wild ball against 38 yrs old Fulham Defenders. And i havent talked about high speed Dribbling that feels so slow in legend difficulty with 90+ pace player. Especially with the slow reaction time even the player would fail to control a slow ball meanwhile old gray AI Welbeck could easily control a head high ball in legend. But Its the only entertaining difficulty and the only reason you lose is your player reaction time, so in this mode you really can see a 85 rated player underperforming and cant even control the ball. So the transfer window is entertaining in master league.

i quite enjoyed watching your match but i also know the feeling of going through a match like that. It s just not a "fun" experience. You, trying to put something resembling "football" while the other part usually just trying to cause mistakes near your goal area instead of bringing the ball to you goal himself through build up and exploitation. Let be fair, he at least tried to face the direction of his passes which is not even a "necessity" any more... There were clearly sucesfull dribbles, 07:52 for example! that should have you breeze past the defender but the game clearly thought otherwise... look at 08:36, he is rushing in full speed and there is no way a defender can change direction so quick and make an interception but he does... this NEEDS to go away first... Rushing in like that should be punishable no matter the stats. but no Konami has to include everyone! Overall, you should have been dominating the entire match while your opponent would have to watch and learn to improve on his mistakes. Instead of that , he is probably thinking about the stunning shot that should have made it 3-0 without questioning how he got the first one or what kind of effort you had to go through. Stupid Drama engine to keep the masses involved...

I play on PlayStation and when the script is on my side, I have literally seen my Zlatan Ibrahimović run faster than my opponent's Mbappé... When it is not on my side, 90 Balance Messi behaves like a one-legged hippo... 5 minutes after he just hit a hatrick... The game would go from 3-0 to 3-3 from 60th minute to the 90th minute

The game has been going backwards since update v2.0. When they introduced this assisted defending. Then sometime just before update V2.5 they implemented this nerf on thru balls by allowing any defender regardless of speed and acceleration stats to catch even the fastest winger or CF. It’s just lazy game design by Konami and I think people, especially veteran PES players are getting fed up with it. There has to be a learning curve but Konami want to entice noobs to continue playing so this is where we are at. In terms for the connection it’s also a shambles and I think the whole connection status thing is a fraud. I’ve had 4 bar games that felt like one bar infact I accepted a 4 bar game earlier and it was so laggy that when I scored and players celebrated the game glitched under the field? Wtf

I get 5bar connection most times, but game can still feel terrible, yep stats mean nothing, played since release and it’s only this month I’ve got to div 1 and it wasn’t even difficult after trying for months with Neymar salah and lewandowski up front (100). I swapped for Grealish, Watkins and bale. And make div 1 but can tell the script for first time was in my favour the majority of the time, then next day switch on and the game does nothing I’m asking I loose most games and can tell I’m not doing anything different the game is just all down to the best connection wins regardless of squad.

First, gameplay scripting is real! So much so when majority players are on assisted, you press a button and game decided where that pass/shots go (direction doesnt matter so much because 90 degree away from target can still land on players feet so yeah…). When you have game doing it for you, of course there’d be RNG elements, random mistake etc for the “challenge and fun”. It’s been so long since assists exist, so how do they make games challenging and fun year by year? By adding stupid mechanic etc like how fifa change their free kick, add timed finishing, or both games adding first touch error, and etc. These are needed to make the game “challenging and fun and random” and doesnt feel robotic.

PES 21 gameplay looks so much better than EFootball. When did EFootball gameplay wise become Fifa ( crazy tricks, relentless pressing at break neck speed for example ).

The mismatch pairing is still a major problem. If you are in a high division it should not pair you with a low rated player. There shoukd be a penalty for continous pressing. If you do that you should deplete your players strenght faster. The collisions in the box are a joke. Maybe it will improve. Also i agree at times with the random pass to the wrong player. Just kills the game.

This game is so bad online and makes me so angry, I cant play more than few matches before I want to break my gamepad. Stats dont matter, at some point the game decides you are not gonna play with the ball and your players are gonna pass the ball like donkeys and no first touch passes etc

Hey, its not scripting for me. Im a mobile player since 2017 and I find it very difficult to play with the likes of Messi after PES changed to efootball, players easily knock him away with a push, easily gets the ball and Messi himself seems very slow sluggish to dribble, react etc. Also if you are playing posession style, unless you have Guardiola, its very difficult to keep the ball and play a static game, the supporting players all run forward while he should be recieving the ball facing the passer. The play is forced forward at the pace pf yhe game mechanics instead of our pace as oppossed to PES. This has forced users to play in a generic quick forward passing style every game. It really took out one of the things that used to make me love this game, There is no point still moaning about it but only some youtubers like Spoony, TTB will understand. I dont know if KnightMD even plays it anymore

I;ve played PES since PES4 but after the rebranding into efootball i can't really play this. It looks awfull, the game is 10 years behind fifa(yeah fifa) on graphics, animations and presentation. I know that PES is dead because this abomination is making money.

The game is scripted and full of button delay all the defenders and midfielders are just as fast as your forward players and i feel like you do a video of this every year and konami just dont listen im getting fed up of it the graphics are still pants no edit mode no master league the net physics are crap and in my opinion player form online needs to go and they need to make stats actually mean something most cards just feel the same and iv been playing offline quite a lot and its like a ice scate ring and the ball has no weight to it either and if you go play pes you will know what i mean the finesse shots look and feel better on pes then this mobile game we been given honestly true brits I'm with you on this i can't play this game that much anymore I'm getting bored the events are the same over and over but now it's even more boring they made it so it takes longer to complete them 🥱

I dont play tika taka, one touch ping pong ding dong assisted football, i work the ball around like actual Football. All while manually controlling my passes etc..
