Thank you for doing this. There are several things that this game does not do a good job of explaining (or straight-up doesn't explain at all), so it is nice to have someone calling these things out. The "Notice Me" (hand-wave) option to critically scare civilians is indeed one of the least-known but most-effective techniques in the game. However, it should be noted (at least as far as my testing goes) that only the Ghouly ghost class can fully terrify a civilian with a single scare in this way. The other ghost types will inflict *a lot* of fear by doing this but only the Ghouly can turn a completely calm civilian to full terror. Still, this is a very powerful tactic. Just note that using "Notice Me" does consume some amount of PKE...but it is still totally worth it unless you absolutely need that PKE to escape the busters. For the end game countdown, in my games, the time saved for each rift remaining in the match appears to work as-follows: 1 rift = 15 second reduction, 2 rifts = 30 second reduction, 3 rifts = 75 second reduction. Just FYI. Also of note, I've done some testing and have concluded that the "faster PKE recharge" ability of the Poltergeist when possessing "electronic objects" seems to be bugged. I have attempted possessing every possible object that could be considered "electronic" and I have noticed zero difference in the speed at which you recover PKE under any conditions. I hope they fix this soon.

Thanks for the clarifications. Yeah I thought it was -15 per rift but then when looking at my gameplay it said -25 per rift so idk if it changed or it was just because I had all 3 rifts in the free games I checked. Also yeah the poltergeist is bugged, but there was 1 object that seemed to work and it’s the beer barrels / kegs on the clock tower brewery map. They made it generate at 2x speed even when moving but I don’t see how those are “electronic equipment”

The problem I'm having right now is just going up against organized teams who chain their pke blasts with tether breaks so it's insanely hard to escape. I'm sure it's just a skill issue, but man that pke blast stun is annoying.

As soon as a tether breaks you become immune to everything and get super speed though, so it shouldn’t effect you too much. Unless they are just letting you out of the tether and not letting it break, then yeah that’s pretty rough to deal with

In a few weeks as more teams form and they really start to understand you are supposed to untether before they break and do exactly what you are describing, the balance is going to shift in favor of the busters very fast. The next few months are going to be interesting.

It bothers me a bit that the ghosts don't have any upgrades considering what the busters get. With the insta trap method being a thing, along with PKE stuns...the busters seem very OP especially if the team is organized.

One quick thing about stealing traps: Simply picking it up gets rid of the pedal the busters use to activate it, so unleash they have the remote receiver (which I can't get to work so it might be bugged) then they won't be able to open it until they redeploy it, it's saved my sheet numerous times to just pick the dang thing up if I'm struggling to get away. Also, like you said, bashers are great at breaking traps as they often do it on accident, but Poltergeist are the only ghosts who actually get a damage bonus against traps, mind you they're still difficult to get the hang of so maybe wait a bit before picking fights as them, but if you're playing Zappy and manage to snag a trap it's like two hit to break it as opposed to everything that isn't a basher requiring 5-6

Also if you manage to escape the trap's pull field it immediately drops that trap's battery to zero

Great content. You are playing this game on another level than everyone else hahaha. I took your tactics into battle and haunted some locations. The bugs are killing me lol. I hit a bug today 3 times that spawned in 3 ghosts in one match and 5 busters lmao. How does that even happen?

it felt like they sneak dropped a new mode and I got a sense what it would be like with more than one ghost. It's something they could totally do....clearly there is a way, the game figured out a way to do it on its own lmao. If it does happen just remenber all the ghosts share rifts though. And you only need to catch one at the end.

You can calm down horrified civilians with the neural frequency emitter but it’s a pain in the ass to get, so I don’t think mass use of it will be present for a while

Tbf a team of actual good ghostbusters have a good chance of beating even good ghost players. I usually play in a 3 stack and one of my friends loves playing ghost, and he’s gotten better than any random ghost we’ve come across. With just me and my friend being good ghostbusters (randoms suck and are on console since my friend plays ps and I’m on pc) we usually manage to take out the good ghost player like 65% of the time at least with just 2 good players. 4 good players could probably rather easily ice even good players on ghost

Biggest ghost tip: be aggressive. Hit them with your R1 power . Drop loads of ecto

Yeah it’s a bit odd, luckily the ghosts are already extremely powerful so upgrades aren’t super necessary. But I would still love to see a perk system come into the game.

The "upgrades" the ghosts get are the different types of ghosts you can choose. The ghosts are much stronger than the busters, not unfair at all.

As of November 1st 2022 I find it quite difficult to play ghost. You are always talking about hiding in props, which i try to do, but they keep on stunning me and I have no chance. They find me almost instantly. It’s very difficult. I feel for some changes to the ghost they should maybe decrease the use of energy when sprinting. They should also make the trap mini game easier. Not too easy though, a little easier than it is now but I don’t want it to be too easy.

#1. While in a prop, you can literally wall-hack to see where they are. Use that to move away from the room they're in. Very simple. #2. Stop sprinting everywhere. Only sprint away from busters if they try to capture you. #3. No. It's easy enough as it is to just stay away from them. Use your brain.

It’s actually only the ghouly that maxes it out since that ghost applies the most fear in its stats. But it’s still really good to use on the rest since it applies a ton of fear

Also what’s your thoughts on the chomp ghost. I personally feel like he is very weak atm. His silence isn’t all that beneficial, and the wind up time takes to long. Maybe add a slowing effect to it to help it out? Because atm a silence doesn’t do much when not a lot of people use comms as it is.

The insta fright doesn't work. It only takes them up a little bit. Not sure how you are or maybe they patched it? But I do the wave and scare and only get a quarter of the fright meter

It turns out only the Ghouly class full fears people instantly because its a ghost whos whole power revolves around fear. But its still an okay tactic with other ghosts

Can you give tips for the Infernal variant of the Ghouly? I like the looks of that ghost the most but its ultimate always takes too long to do anything. Busters always tether me when I try to use it.

At the end of the video I’m pretty sure you can see me use that ultimate to puke on everyone. I don’t have many tips for it since you kind of just press a button and aim it at them and they get fully covered in about 1 second. Maybe try using it more sneakily behind them or up your sensitivity to hit multiple people easier but I don’t really know

Is there a specific way to increase your chance of playing as the ghost? I go through Tobin's guide and que up through the rift in the ghost realm, but I still get forced into playing a ghostbuster.

Yeah it might be bugged right now but it usually makes you play at least 1 ghostbuster match and then lets you play ghost over and over. But if you want switch to a different ghost, you gotta again queue up and play 1 buster match for some reason

I have great win rates on both sides, but imma say this pke blast needs some kind of nerf in terms of chaining it. It’s easy enough to tether ghosts without it as is, but when getting chain stunned it’s almost guaranteed you are going in the trap. On top of the fact it doesn’t really take long for it to reboot. Feel like blast should only stun the ghost if hit by it while possessing an object, or give ghost an immunity to it for a bit after being hit by one.

tbh, I kinda hope they rework it to the point where a ghost WON'T go into the trap until you beam it first. Because there is definitely a meta already. I have gotten so good at just using my thruster to get up close, PKE stun them, and throw my insta activated trap at their feet and before they are out of the stun they're in the trap. The amount of solo catches I get is kinda nutty.

@@Tipsi_Jedi yeah my point exactly. I have a ton of solo catches too. Pke meter is the biggest culprit that stun is just overpowered, and yeah trap should not be able to pull the ghost till tethered.
