My Mother used the Parlour Sibyl deck. I couldn't find the exact deck, so I bought the smaller reprint (the one in the middle) and it nearly brought me to tears to see it. I got back into Tarot after my Mom passed.

The indovina one I wish came with card meanings. All the booklet has is one spread.

I’m loving this so much, Kelly! ♥️♥️♥️ I really like my Indovina although I can’t wait for my Grimaud’s Parlour Sybil to arrive! Meanwhile I printed the images from BnF for myself while I’m waiting.☺️ Oh , and I think have that 36 card deck drawn by JJ Grandville that you mentioned that came prior the Sibyl of Salons!

Regarding Card 10, Eight of Clubs, my Italian friends translated the spirit of the card to mean in English someone who puts on airs and is kinda snooty. The sort that would snap her fan andmarch off in a huff if she didn’t get her way.

If you did a self reading and drew both the male and female consultant both upside-down what does it mean? Parlour sibyl, male consultant. Using Keltic spread, male in place for influences at work. Female consultant was either house or self.

In cartomancy style decks with significators if I pull myself and the other significator, the other is speaking about a person or situation significant to me, so if you were the female, then the male in work can be letting you know that there are significant influences to watch out for at work and something you might want to dig into further. That is how I would approach it :)

I have the Parlour Sibyl deck and I was wondering if I should remove the female and male consultant card before reading or leave them in the deck???
@TheTruthinStory Жыл бұрын
Leave them in ❤️

Eight of Hearts, A Blonde Woman is very likely a caricature of an actual person. I did some research and posted my findings a few years ago.

How did I miss this video? Great to see the comparison of the three versions of this deck. The Wicked/Angry Woman definitely looks like a zombie lol! Interesting to see how the French version differs significantly from the Italian version.

Okay but let’s say someone did a Celtic cross, for fun, and got the following. Wth is this even supposed to mean…1. Faithfulness, 2. Waiting, 3. Soldier, 4. Enemy, 5. A Widow, 6. Illness, 7. Gift, 8. Success, 8. A blonde women, 9. Disappointment.
