Seaweed - there's enough of it floating around the world, but does it work with alcohol? Does it even taste nice? Well, after getting our hands on a selection of seaweed alcohol and spirits, we simply had to sit down our resident Irish People to see what they thought about trying it.

I’m digging the Klezmer-style music in the background. We have Irish people drinking Irish made alcohol inspired by Japanese seaweed and this is all accompanied by Klezmer music. My day is complete.

Okay. That joke about the wooden leg - my Dad had issues with his legs, and he told the doctor that if they had to amputate, he didn't want any of those real-looking legs; he wanted peg legs. To which I responded, "Be hardcore! Have wooden legs and real feet!" My father thought it was hilarious. The doctor thought we were both serious and demented. Good to know someone else out there is thinking like us.

Brilliant. I have feet problems and said if mine had to be taken off I wanted peg legs like a pirate, and I was gonna put castanets on the bottom of the pegleg to be super annoying. but actual feet, friggin brilliant.

I used to know a guy that used a bowling pin (properly attached to the leg cup/sheath thing) as one of his fake legs (he was only missing his left leg, but he had a couple different styles he would rotate.) He always joked that he picked up a spare last time he went bowling.

I was confused for a minute about naval rated alcohol... "if it fell out on tho the gun powder it would still ignite".... why would you want to ignite the alcohol?????..... then I realized that it is so the alcohol evaporates without soaking the GUNPOWDER enough to keep the gunpowder from igniting....🤦‍♂️ Im not even drunk... i swear....

What I loved the most about this episode was how DIVERGENT the taste experiences were for all the Tryers. Wow, the human tongue/mouth is so diverse. And can we just take a second to acknowledge the Jewish Klezmer music? So cheeky and giver of positive energy and having absolutely nothing to do with seaweed. Loved it!!!

I think a lot of people who decide that they hate fish have probably never tried sushi, because they assume it will be exactly the same experience. However, a lot of raw fish flesh have completely different flavor and texture profiles than when they're cooked. Pair that with rice, vegetables, soy sauce, etc. and, most of the time, there's no "fishy taste" at all.
