Have to say it, Lewa's sword from these sets is the most badass bionicle sword (maybe over all weapon) they have ever made. A freaking serrated sword with four backwards facing spikes and LIGHTNING going through the middle.

I always felt that Pohatu Phantoka's mask had a much stronger resemblance to his Mata mask than to his Nuva mask, largely because the two have very similar overall shapes to each other.

I really like Pohatu, he's pretty much everything Kongu Mahri was while switching out that set's boring weaponry with wonderfully intricate lower arm builds complete with a perfectly executed action feature that is both functionally and visually pleasing.

We had the Inika legs in dark grey before, with Carapar. There's also a reason why Phantoka Lewa has only one blade. During the Piraka saga, Reidak snapped one of his blades in half.

I think I speak for most people when I say Lewa's Phantoka build is soooo satisfying to look at! The aerial combat design works so well with him, being the Toa of Air. It's a great addition to him, just feels like a true upgrade unlike majority of the others.

I may have just had an epiphany- What if they were trying to make Pohatu more like his original set by making him have to have his arms up to fly, therefor making him have to fight enemies with his feet? Also, they should have given him Rakshi feet- it just makes sence.

Fred Jones The crazy thing is, from the ankle ball to the knee ball, both the Rahkshi and Inika shins are about the same length, but the Inika shins LOOK so much longer thanks to the kneepads, and they're so much bulkier, that they create the illusion of Lewa having gorilla arms. It's freakin' weird.

Pohatu's adapted Kakama reminds me more of the original Kakama than the Nuva version. It's also very similar to Photok's noble Kakama, which reminds me very much of the original Kakama.

I heard a theory once that Pohatu Phantoka is actually using the Vahi. Just look at the shaping of his mask! It covers the sides and the nose. It really does look like an updated Vahi to me.

This line was the last line of Bionicle sets that I ever owned. I was 12 or 13 in 2008 and was outgrowing Bionicles somewhat. I was aware of the Mistika wave, but never really got around to picking any of them up, even though I got all the phantoka sets and their matoran counterparts.

I remember when this came out when I was younger. I got really excited, mostly because I misunderstood the sets. xD I thought Pohatu had gained a redskined Mask of Time and I mistaken Lewa as Lesovikk as the masks were similar. I was so excited becuase I thought the Toa Phantoka were time traveling heros aiding Lesovikk in the capture of Karzahni at the Heart of the Universe.

I heard somewhere (maybe on this channel) that the 2008 toa sets were originally planned to be the toa inika/mahri transformed for a third time, and that's the reason why they look nothing like the toa nuva. one point of interest i've heard people talk about before is that the phantoka/mistika toa masks are more inspired by their mata masks than their Nuva masks, due to those being the more iconic masks (a lot of people didnt like the Nuva masks cause of the more organic/melty look to them). This makes a lot of sense, esp when comparing pohatus masks

These used to be my favorite incarnation of the main toa, then 2015 came. I still love these sets. My only complaint is that (these apply to the Mistika toa too) their weapons was just a gun, only 2 (unless you count Pohatu) have a secondary weapon, Tahu and Lewa (and Tahu's is kinda lame).

Pohatu has another new piece: the retooled Hordika neck. Starting with 2008, lego made a small hole in one side of the ball, making it different from the older versions used up to that point. Once you notice it, like when you pause the video at the 6:57 mark. it's obvious.

I was looking at Kopaka's mask, and there were a lot of weird decisions made, but then I compared his mask to Nuju's. Kopaka's mask doesn't look like an Akaku, because it looks like a freaking Matatu! The scope on the left side of the mask (which is a longer scope like the one on the Matatu) the two circles on the lower part, the cheek details, and the overall oblong shape of the mask compared to the more circular design of the Akaku and Akaku Nuva.

Pohatu and Lewa looks completely ruined by the drastic change of trying to keep a grey cohesiveness. Lewa being lime is like a insult after the lime breakage of 2007. Pohatu suffers from "Brown color's aren't selling well." so lego was always experimenting with color schemes and is unrecognizable. And his mask makes him look bald.

I always felt that Pohatu's mask looked more like the bottom of the OG Kakama, but never saw the Vahi comparison until you pointed it out. If you have seen the Pohatu Phantoka prototype, it is far more complex and unique compared to the others.

Lewa and pohatu so have a problem with the visors? When sneeze, the visor get wet and you can't see very well. Kopaka however don't need a visor because he too cool to have one, and it make his laser vision look weird.
