When I was a kid back in like 2004 I remember getting sick a lot and coming home early from school. There were always two movies I'd watch while sick. Who Framed Roger Rabbit and for some unknown reason Shallow Hal. I honestly think its because my child brain didn't understand the movie and it was easy to fall asleep to. I could barely remember a single thing about it other than to break the curse the main character had to say "Shallow Hal needs a gal." This was also before I knew or cared about actors so I didn't even know until the first time they mentioned the movie that it starred Jack Black. Part of me wanted to rewatch it, but I think I'll just keep it in my memories where it belongs.

Fan of One Piece and I was happy with how they adapted it to live action, while it’s still fundamentally the same series there are quite a few changes such as Garp being a prominent figure in the live action where as Garp is shown around late 200s or early 300s iirc in the anime. As a stand alone show it’s great and I feel my complaints come from the fact I am an existing One Piece fan like dialogue changes but there’s also things the live action does better than the anime/ manga. Both great experiences but obviously the live action is definitely easier to get into. Also about the theme the lady sung is the one from the 4kids dub. However We Are, the original One Piece opening, was shown when the crew were declaring their dreams with the barrel scene.

as someone who is allergic to kiwi, i do not in fact see this as an absolute win. Edit: I believe the experiment that Peter brought up is called the ship of Theseus, and there is a follow up, that being that if you took all of the scrapped pieces, removed all of the damage and rot, and put it back together, is that still the ship of Theseus? Simply because there might be an argument for both, but some might argue that they are both the ship of Theseus. That said, I would love to see this group discuss the Chinese room experiment.

If you like the live action i would recommend reading the one piece manga and only watch the anime for the big fights, I think this is the best way to experience the essence of one piece. For the live action i like it for the most part, but it doesn't really capture the feeling of one piece for me, and a lot of inconsistencies and missing plot points prevent me from enjoying it fully.
