All the top clubs have a clear identity and philosophy and tradition which all combines to make them what they are. You can’t just ignore all of that. This is why Pep wasn’t as successful at Bayern because he tried to change too much and the club lost its identity. There were obviously a lot of positives with his tenure there and he improved many aspects of the team, but he tried to do it without building on what the strengths of German football have always been.
