I’m 38yrs old, I’m not a hipster and I love attacking players. I’ve heard so many United fans say “Amrabaat was good today, he never passed the ball forward but he was good” They don’t understand that what he does is retain possession, something we’ve failed to do for the majority of the season. Just keep the ball and keep it ticking. Casimero’s favourite ball is that curled ball around the opposition player but how often does that lead to anything, it’s just giving away the ball.

I heard scholesy said that Amrabat was like Gatuso and I can’t unsee it now, he really was like a little bull getting around, bumping into everyone bundling the ball off them and bullying them!!! Mainoo showed me something different too that he’s got very good strength, he’s way beyond his years, bullied haaland in the box off the ball and as usual, ice cold composure. Ricky is right, the shape was great and we should play this way at least with these players until we make changes.
