Because everybody always keeps living in the past Fergie times, if a manager does good one season and the next is shite they scream for his head. Don't care about how shite the management at the top is or how shite some of these players are who have been here for years. Yes this season was absolute shite and no style or paterns of play, but look at all the injuries, this season had zero consistency with a starting 11 especially in the backline, injuries list longer than epsteins list. Then all the Sancho stuff, the sale of the club and now new co owners comming in.. A hectic and uncertain work enviroment.. Did he made some bad decisions along the way for sure.. But how last season went with ending 3rd and 2 finals 1 cup has put unrealistic expactations on a lot of the fanbase... Arsenal went through the though times, backed Arteta let him do his rebuild and are now challenging and now he has to deliver.. I'm still ETH in, give him atleast one more season, sell the toxic players bring in the youth like he has been doing this season add a few selective signings and if the style football doesn't change you sack him..

Yes the players may have been against him, and the club is poorly run, but he has had two seasons to build some kind of identity and he hasn't managed to make any progress at all. Outside of the timing, its not a surprise. United just got a new board, who will have wanted to pick their own manager regardless of result, and then United have their worst finish by position in the entire premier league era. I am happy for Ten Hag in the sense that he can get away from all the hate and toxicity at the club. He should get another season and to be fair, if we really believe in the "project" mentality, we have to do what Liverpool and City did and trust and invest in the manager and give them time to build the squad...but this is our United now I suppose

A lot of names has been mentioned in particular Poch, McKenna, Southgate. However I've said since Brighton announced that De Zerbi was leaving, to me this has Man Utd written all over it, so for me I believe De Zerbi will be Man Utd's next manager and they all waiting until after the FA Cup.

I'm a Liverpool fan and im a bit worried about the new Manager for Liverpool as there hasn't been a Manager from that League who has been successful in the Prem league and he is also unproven at the top level. I think its a big risk and if it goes wrong we could go backwards like United have.

The only managers in this league that are actually able to manage properly are people like Guardiola and up until his departure , Klopp. Teams can bring in all the analysts and advisors they want but aside from the technical ability of a player , if they haven't got the right character , mentality or work ethic to contribute to a team , they will not be a good signing for a club. My case in point for UTD is Antony. The last thing we need at this point in time is to employ a yes man as a manager.
