Speaking in regards to the Bible. I believe Jesus teachings were corrupted by man and twisted into a political tool to keep us spiritually imprisoned and distracted from what God and the truth of Jesus’ teachings. So, in essence, I suppose I am a Christian, but my American brothers and sisters have corrupted that title, so I do not claim it. I also have gifts and talents that the current translation of the Bible do not support, but I know my God is okay with it because he made me the way I am for a reason.
