This is the most clear and descriptive video I've watched on tying a butcher's knot. It gets the camera direction right and shows the perspective of the person tying the knot. You wouldn't believe how hard it is learn from videos that are essentially upside down. Thank you

Third year watching this video. I keep forgetting the knot, because where I work (grocery store) we don't tie anything, except rib roasts at the end of the year. This video is a great reminder, and might I add, the best video demonstrating this knot on KZbin.

Your butcher's knot video demo was spot on: Clear, concise, well annunciated with brogue that's easy to understand. To practice string tying, using a rolling pin held by blue tack - very novel. Your overhead camera view was steady & professional TUB 'C'.

I watched my brother do this many times when he was butchering in Stafford England. 55 years later I'm going to learn it in Canada where I live . Happy Christmas !

Great instructions! Thanks very much. I used it to secure the tin foil onto the top of my pudding basin. I used rubber bands initially, however the heat relaxed them and they fell into the water. Butcher knot was the trick. Having a full prime rib for Christmas today!

Thank you for this video. Very helpful. When practicing what you have done I discovered once I’d got the hang of it with the rolling pin I then used a roll of black sack bin liner’s. Just gives a little meat like resistance. T

Wow! I enjoyed learning about the butchers knot. Because I forget easily, I will come back to watch it again. This is the best instruction video I've seen for this knot. I've been using a buntline hitch with a half hitch but I'm going to try this next time

I've just started venturing into butchery and I'm about to film myself butchering a whole ribeye, and this is going to come in handy when I get to that Spinalis. Thanks this video helped me a lot.
