My dad was awarded the Bronze Star medal for the intelligence behind locating this POW camp. He was in Air Force Intelligence for 26 years.

I read that the POWs were moved due to flooding in the camp since the camp was right next to a river.

NVA knew the operation and they even sent their special forces to ambush American commandos. Fortunately the US delayed the raid so NVA abandoned the camp as well

@@FIREBRAND38 There was a situation in ww2 when an air force commander at a base somewhere in the pacific knew of a Pending japanese attack He requested a preemptive strike From his superiors While he was waiting for the answer The japanese struck!
