I hafta pull a double today don't ask me y I'm up so late either. It'll prob hit me later. Like all the other ish I hadta go through in my dailys. Some of my co workers blast rap when higher ups aren't around. & It's just stupid. Like u do get a chill environment becomes contagious, no? Or let's just try it the other way then. It's not that I'm "soft" it's just some of the sh they do is like wth is wrong w/ u? I feel bad for em bc they're scared to speak up ... Even about their mistreatment. 1 of my co workers was trying to tell me not to do something for a resident & bish, I'm not trying to make it harder on myself. I really don't get how she's still there. She's an idiot. I hope she does quit. Bc if things r unbearable now, I don't get how she doesn't get that at the core of things, ure gonna be doing the same exact sh. The job does require some compassion. & a lotta of em lack it. Like who told u this was the job for u? Bc she says even her baby drives her mad. Just overall, she's the can u make it make sense. Anywho I once heard Richard Marx in there. Of course it was bc of some higher up but I at least thought it was pretty. Just dawned on me, I should start bring my ear buds in there. Also also I don't think this would be appropriate in there bc I'm not trying to trigger anything. Lawd if I really started blasting my ish in there.... Especially from my younger angsty phases. I'd be like die mofo die. I mean, plz don't. At least it'd be natural tho. Vs This sh can't be normal, getting paid to watch ppl slip away & what not. Meanwhile I worry about stuff like I can't accept gifts 😇. Like these elderly folks & fams love giving me sweets

Just saw these guys again in honor of my daughter Kristi who passed away. This was her favorite band. She loved the Used so much that she even had the first verse of their song "Smother Me" tattooed on her arm. Kristi was our baby! We called her baby all the time too! It's been 3 years now since she passed and I've seen The Used at least 4 times so far! Maybe 5 but I was really intoxicated most of the time since I was repeatedly "toasting" our beautiful daughter throughout their shows. I'm so glad our Kristi shared the Used with me! I'll go as often and as frequently as I can from now on for her!! Rock on our baby Kristi!!Pops loves you always my sweet baby!!

LYRIC You almost always pick the best times To drop the worst lines You almost made me cry again this time Another false alarm Red flashing lights Well this time I'm not going to watch myself die I think I made it a game to play your game And let myself cry I buried myself alive on the inside So I could shut you out And let you go away for a long time I guess it's okay I puked the day away I guess it's better you trapped yourself in your own way And if you want me back You're gonna have to ask I think the chain broke away And I felt it the day that I had my own time I took advantage of myself and felt fine But it was worth the night I caught an early flight and I made it home I guess it's okay I puked the day away I guess it's better you trapped yourself in your own way And if you want me back You're gonna have to ask Nicer than that Nicer than that With my foot on your neck I finally have you Right where I want you Right where I want you Right where I want you Right where I want you I guess it's okay I puked the day away I guess it's better you trapped yourself in your own way And if you want me back You're gonna have to ask Nicer than that I guess it's okay I puked the day away I guess it's better you trapped yourself in your own way And if you want me back You're gonna have to ask Nicer than that Nicer than Nicer
To be clear this song isn’t about a girl. It’s about his previous addiction to meth and how he pulled himself out of it and got clean. Drugs are a hell of a thing. I have huge respect for anyone who can get clean on their own and stay clean! That’s a damn feat!

Listening in January 2021, I’m 32. My mom passed away last week and I’m just listening to music from my teens. She was my best friend. I don’t believe in a life after this one, but I know and science shows us the law of “Energy Conservation”. Just like atoms, energy can not be created or lost. So the potential energy she had left in her atoms when she died and then subsequently cremated was released and effected the atoms around and those atoms the next and so on. Add this with String Theory, her energy is influencing things throughout the entire universe. We will meet again one day.

This video and lyrics are a kick in the heart, I was so mentally ill 15 y/o in hidden ways for what continues now in the form of a bit of mania/low mood, I missed out on a truly amazing guy, but I'll respect him always - TG is unforgettable, now I look back on time from a clearer view

When i was young, id have a hard time letting go and getting the tears out of me.... but this song really brought it out of me and after id jam it in the car, super loud, id let all those pent up emotions and tears out and id feel better and was able to finish the day. So, thank you to this band for helping me during some rough days.

Hell on Earth can produce such exquisite sounds to help other's along to stick & stay a bit longer. This album is just, brilliant. Been replaying it over a decade. Never dulls, my 11 yr old daughter screams & growls along with me @ such intensity & it's a true gift.
turning 37 and still going back to watch this video. during our days theres no youtube, you can only hear this song occasionally on radio or cd burn. its very rare to watch its music video on mtv because its underground band.

CW: MENTION OF EMOTIONAL ABUSE, SELF-HARM, ED i miss the used.. but unfortunately no matter how many times i try i can't get over the painful memories attached to the songs. during the time i mostly listened to them i was going through a lot: emotionally abusive relationship with several breakups & getting back togethers, worry of my ex doing something to themselves, self-harm, eating disorder. the memories are too strong to go back, no matter how much i've been going through them. but thank you the used for being there for me back then, thank you for giving me an outlet to express myself, thank you from the bottom of my heart. 🖤

Even as a 13 year old, I could tell these guys were something else. Something much more raw and animalistic, yet so emotional. Now at 28 I've sort of gone through these feelings myself several times over throughout the years. Drug addiction and all that. Super relatable for all time. I'll always love The Used.
