When you get to pick from a good crop, you look at everything and get a feel for the best cob in the bunch. When you're picking from the garbage heap, you have to have a vision of what it could be, and think you can make your imagination into a realization. This draft had no sure things even at one, let alone five. The Holland pick shows you're taking a shot at finding greatness, or you just found another clunker, along with quite possibly every other team because this draft is hot garbage.

With that said who are we to say that an 18-19 year old kid isn’t allowed to develop and improve at something. Trajan did the same thing that Brad did with Gibbs. We need to trust Trajan like we do Brad. Give him a chance to do his thing, then critique. I get sick of these instant reactions. People forget that Ron was the consensus #1 pick before he opted to go to the G-League Ignite instead of going to college and the Ignite sucked. Ron average 20ppg despite only shooting 24% from three. He already has all the other tools. Can switch 1-4. Gets in the passing lanes. Averaged about two steals per game. Offers rim protection. You’ll see some blocks littered throughout his highlights. He’s a hustle rebounder. Similar to Ausar,he gives max effort on the glass. He is very athletic, and he’s a great teammate and facilitator for his size. Trajan took what he deemed was BPA, and we need to give him a shot to do things his way. I love this pick the more I think about it. Absolute worst case scenario, Ron is a hustle rebounding defensive oriented wing that puts pressure on the rim and can facilitate.

Mike is exactly right about the Gibbs comparison. And had they traded a few spots down, what would they really have gotten. Rico is being ridiculously shortsighted. This is essentially a pick that would have happened when HS kids could be drafted. Sometimes it worked out well, many times, the kid couldn’t make the team. Langdon is taking over a turd sandwich. Do I really care if they win 10 more games next year because they went with a safe, middle of the road guy? Need a total overhaul. High risk with potential high ceiling is how you accelerate the new new new rebuild. I’m very intrigued. He was the top prospect. If he went to UConn or another successful program, I’d bet his stock would be much higher than being in the G league.

I never wavered on the Pistons,they are young,I saw the potential in all of them.Now with Vinson on staff I'm even that much more excited about them.THEY ARE YOUNG AND GIFTED.Monty was not a developer,really didn't like his hire.He delayed them, instead of building up he confused them,self doubt.Now with Bickerstaff and Vinson they're going to improve each and every one of them.Can you imagine Duren and Stewart with Jumpers?Lets see how fast they learn,and don't be surprised.Keep the Faith.All is not broken,just Tweaking.
