When I was in college, my four good buddies were hanging out and one goes, “You boys want some chaw?!” The rest of us had ever tried it before, but were willing to give it ago (we’d been drinking for awhile and dip seemed far less intimidating). After (stupidly) trying to outdo each other with who had the biggest pinch we followed Elliott’s EXACT pattern: Gross, good, GREAT, a bit much, nope, try to keep it together, furious vomiting.
