ANDREW! Your explanation at about the 4 minute mark - YASSSSS!! Not only are you charming and a good host, but you're so knowledgeable! So many people don't realize this happens with plants and even us home gardeners forget it happens too. "I hardly have tomatoes this year forming!" Well, maybe it was because it was so hot the plants dropped some blossoms to protects itself? *chef's kiss* Thank you for always sharing ♥

Roll that beautiful bean footage!!. Oh wait, that's another company. It's nice to see Callie getting less food all over her just like Grandpa!! Yesterday I was going to make a meatloaf topped with bacon, a family favorite. I asked my mom what she would like to go with it. She's going to turn 90 at the end of the year. She said "Could you make some fried corn?". I said "sure!". I haven't made that in awhile. I don't know why. Sometimes, our family is just like yours. We make the same dishes over and over and some just slide by. I got out the cast iron skillet and the bacon drippings and some real butter. Salt n pepper and our family like some fried bread crumbs in with it. Not many but it gives it a nice taste. She was thrilled when we had dinner and reminded us that her mother used to make this and so did her grandmother. She told me that her mother added some bread crumbs to help make the dish stretch a bit farther and add to the taste. So I got to go to be last night knowing my mom was pleased with her dinner. (She had to go to the hospital and then rehab for 2 months. She lost 42 lbs in 10 weeks. She did NOT like their food and we begged her to eat). Now she's back home, weighing about 148 and hasn't gained any weight back. Eating good food but in portions really fills you up because it's home made and not that processed junk! Appreciate your farmers for providing us with fruits and veggies they grow for us.

Topic to maybe cover in a future video: Matthew is going to the auction. Daniel is out in the tractor. Daniel has the animals all fed. Etc. There is an apparent pattern to some of the individual jobs. Is it based on personality, preference, talent? In this video we got to see some of the Girls show off their cross-over skills. I assume the cross-training is total, but some words on how the family breaks down chores would be appreciated.

Dang it Brian, I was going to make that joke about Jake and you beat me to it LOL! We tried selling some cabbage for a while as purple cabbages and people wouldn't buy them. Changed the sign to red cabbage and they flew off the shelf! I will never forget the day where we were short-handed and I had to pick 7000 ears of corn by myself for orders. I would pick into bushels and set the baskets at the edge of the field. My sister-in-law would transfer it into corn bags until there was enough for a truckload. We would load it up and my brother would deliver it to various stores that ordered from us while I kept on picking. From early in the morning until that evening. I was pooped! And who owns the peacocks near your red barn?
