Please do make sure you check out the Egyptian tutorial cinematic located in the "Learn to Play" section, I believe. Or where ever it is. It's pretty pertinent to playing the Egyptians. (Unless you've already checked it out. In that case, carry on!)

Alan P - That's what I'd be led to believe since it does normally play when you reach that region! But since he's been going to the "campaign menu" after every mission, I have a sinking feeling that it might not actually automatically play because it wasn't launched in a continuous/consecutive motion. (Going from Strangers to The Lost Relic in one go, no stop). I personally don't go back to the menu in between campaign missions so I have no idea!

@@guilhermemarra3099 That's a great sign. But did it ask you, if you selected it outright from the campaign menu? Like repeating the steps Viper took at the end of Strangers and went back to the campaign menu? I would personally test it, but unfortunately I am unable to at the moment. This is a wonderful sign though, so I'm glad it's entirely possible for Viper to see it even if he doesn't see my comment.

Is the cinematics sound an issue for more people? If it is a problem, I could go through some extra work to make sure the volume of those parts are higher if that's the case. Is it really necessary given how there are subtitles as well? It's weird, I have no problem hearing anything when I'm playing the video later myself.

Mummies are one of the best myth units in the game. It can instant kill your enemy's strongest unit whilst converting them into your minions to fight for you. Not even Medusa can do that (they only instant kill). Use it when you eventually play the Egyptian campaign

They're also solid ranged units to top it all off, especially with the Vizier upgrade, and are only really weak to Heroes. Love them all the same

Thing is, the shades "see better" than regular units in the underworld. You have to keep them close when fighting in the underworld or you might miss an enemy unit or two fighting right in front of you.

It's something that I think only happens in this scenario and I find it a pain to hear I'm being attacked and I can't see the enemy. Then I pull the shades back and the whole army attacks. But I'm still a huge noob compared to TheViper.

Plague of Serpents is an Egyptian god power granted by aging to the Classical Age through Anubis. Anubis is only accessible by Isis and Set.

So, a few more hints: bronze god Power doesnt work in myth/heroe units. Also, this is the campaign, so it doesnt follow the same rules of custom games, per exemple the serpert god power os actually an egyptian Power, not Hades's. You're about to start the egyptian part of the campaign. A more desert-like environment. Later is the snow one and finally back to grass/greek. The atlantean campaign is pretty cool, much smaller but really cool.

That snake power is an Egyptian God Power (2nd age) , just like the meteor power you've Already seen/used, that is also from one of the Egyptian gods (4th age)

"Plague of serpents" is the Anubis god power. The good thing is that the serpents live forever and you can even heal them but they are weak and got very limited area to stay in. It can be good to protect from early rush your first tc and villagers.

@TheViperAOC hades can cast snakes because it's written in as a cinematic, the power doesn't necessarily have to be the one a player gains from that god in a multiplayer skirmish. I don't remember off the top of my head which god gives that power in their tech tree, but I have a hunch it's Egyptian

Campaign heroes are indeed way too OP against myth units in particular, roughly on the same level as midway between a 4th age (like Bellerophon and Polyphemus) and a 3rd age Greek hero (like Achilles/Heracles), but for free, less pop slots and are able to regenerate.

i feel like most of the egyptian and norse phrases are not quite as catchy (also your greek heroes keep speeking greek throughout the entirety of this campaign) dont forget to watch the egypt introduction video under the learning tab (it should also be presented between the last greek and the first egypt mission but going through the campaign menu might break it and go straight to the mission instead) god powers in campaigns often don't match the god the sneks are an egyptian god power

This is the single worst mission in any video game I have ever played in my entire life. Every single game mechanic is fighting against itself here. Nothing works properly. This is awful. I seriously can't get over how bad this is. This game is literally a 10/10 until this chapter. Wow.
