The competition was very strong this season but Bryce came out and consistently sang country,but his voice never was the same for each song and matched perfectly but was never boring.

@@stephieirene1exactly you are supposed to have a genre. Not many singers cross over into different genres. There are some great artists that can do country and pop, but most of the time if you are country, pop R&B that’s the lane you stay in. Bryce was solid through the whole season. I think that Bodie was probably more an all around artist when it comes to his sound, style and production of his music. They kept saying that Morgan Miles was country but I didn’t see that. She could do some great country performances but she also sang Lady Gaga, Bonnie Tyler (which I thought was a total mess) That jumping around was just strange. John Legend said he thought she was the best country singer ever on The Voice (What!). He doesn’t know country music obviously. I thought Brayden was very good considering his age and the fact he’d only been singing for 2 years. He was definitely a teenage heartthrob but had the young current country sound to go with it. As he gets older and his voice gets stronger he has the potential of being an incredible young country artist. Omar was incredibly talented and has a powerful voice. I really enjoyed his 80’s music. I wish he’d done more songs like the Foreigner song. That was amazing. I only wish he would have done more singing and less drama. When it comes to the show The Voice it usually always comes down to song choices unless you are incredibly talented and creative like Bodie was. He was able to turn songs that I never cared for and make the song more interesting and many times his vocal was better then the original. (In my opinion) Omar’s Michael Jackson performance was vocally excellent but the production I thought was too far and unfortunately if you choose a performer with a history like Michael Jackson it may turn people off. You have to take into consideration the demographic that this show has and you have to choose songs from artists that do not have a bad reputation or scandal. It is about the Voice but also the personality and if the singer comes across as a nice, funny and likable. The Voice has a strong country music fan base that follows Blake but Bryce consistently sang classic country songs and he was also had a very likable personality and had Blake for a coach. Bodie was smart and even though he was not country he knew that Blake had the potential to take him to the finals and Blake knew that Bodie was incredibly talented, he said Bodie had a look and a sound that people would love and Blake never tried to change that. In an interview Bodie said Blake would give him notes that were always spot on and then let Bodie be exactly who he was. Blake has been doing this for a long time and knew that Brayden had a sound, his age and a look that would go far with younger new country music fans (as well as old ones like me) Bryce wash classic country with a beautiful velvet sound that would get the following of a huge country music base and Bodie had a unique but exceptional sound, look, personality and nobody has ever been like him on the show. Blake was smart to keep them on his team and look how it worked out. They were all in the finals. Potentially Bodie could have won with a coach like Kelly or Gwen but we will never know. Bryce deserved to win and fans of the show should know by now that IF there is a strong country music singer on the show that they have a very strong possibility of winning if they are consistent. Which Bryce was. I think he could be one of the most successful winners to come off that show if he can find the right songs and be managed well. The same for Brayden if he continues to grow and surrounds himself by the right people. Bodie has a huge fan base and I think will go far. Even if he chooses a Christian rock music lane or independent music. He’s just incredibly talented. He was my choice to win but I admit I put in some votes for Bryce too after his Keith Whitley performance of Don’t Close Your Eyes. Song choice and the artist whose song you sing is very important. I’m not sure why I went off like this but I just watched the Lives again and I think I was just bursting to give my opinion of the show and the results. It’s only my opinion and nobody has to agree with me but after watching the show for years I think there is a definite strategy to the show. Strategy by the Singers and the Coaches. ✌️

I think that he will honestly go on to be one of the most successful contestants of The Voice! His voice takes me back to the Country music from when I was a kid and a teenager in the '90s and 2000s when Country music was Absolutely Incredible when singers sang such meaningful music with such heart, soul and passion! Bryce Leatherwood was the only one I thought would be an international superstar during the Blind Auditions, and I've been proven right, he will represent American country music! I was watching every facial and how his body was tense, until Blake turned his chair! He got a bit tense 😬 when John and Gwen turned their chairs also turned!! I think it was a compliment to his singing abilities but knew he had to turn 2 coaches down, because he was only there hoping to work with Blake!! ANYWAY, his voice is perfection and he deserved to win as much or more than a couple other finalists!! Omar and the woman from Camila's team both seemed to sing like they were on a Broadway stage Brody (seemed like a nice guy with a nice voice) however, came across as a little bland to me!! Braden (sp?) was cute, but I think most people wondered how he made it as far as he did!! Maybe he can come back when he's older ( he's only freshman in HIGH SCHOOL)..WOW!! BRYCE LEATHERWOOD HAS A "VOICE LIKE BUTTER" and I agree with Gwen when she said that!! Bryce, 22 years old, just graduated from college!! I hope he has a career in country music like the coaches were saying!! I don't think it's right to have a chart up on utube having people vote FOR WHO SHOULD'VE WON THE VOICE!!!!!!! The contestants in all the other seasons, 90% of whom I wanted and thought should win, BUT DIDN'T!! The winner was BRYCE LEATHERWOOD, finally the contestant that I wanted to win, did win!! So why don't all you disappointed people grow up!! Quit whining because your contestant did not win!! Bryce deserved to win, bottom line!!!

Gina, I am confident you misread Patti's comment ... next season (season 23) will be the last one she watches. Patti, you just wait to see who comes in. This show will not turn its back on the country audience. It's a strong and loyal following and country has nurtured contestants on these type of shows to be successful. Blake may leave next season, but the upcoming talent is still to be discovered.
