My take, and granted all this artistic stuff is going to be subjective by definition, that while Mark has a unique voice and is talented, he seems to push that raspiness a bit much that it almost becomes an affectation, it doesn't seem quite natural.

I think people forget what Louis Armstrong's voice sounds like, Mark's voice is actually closer than Edward. Not only the rasp, but Mark captured some of the essence that Armstrong had in his rendition. The genre favored Edward, but Mark made the song his own while coming closer to Armstrong 🎉 ❤.

So, so sad you weren't chosen, you were the clear winner in my opinion! Michael Buble, you made a big mistake letting this guy get away, you might just live to regret it. Mark, whatever you do, keep singing because you will be famous. I'm hoping that someone with a record company has heard about you and scoops you up now that you're not tied to the machine that is the Voice. I love your unique voice! While Edward has a good voice, there is nothing extraordinary about it and his style of music (a Crooner) is not truly a popular genre. There are very few who are truly interested in the Sinatra style, but I don't think it's going to make a huge comeback like Mr. Buble might want. You on the other hand, are so unique and different, as evidence by the comments on this page. I can't say enough about you and I'm definitely going to check out your album! Just keep singing, were are so ready for more Mark in our ear hole (as Michael Buble would say)!
