Norway must be a funny place when it come to the voice the women are so great but the Men are pretty ordinary, the women singing in English their word perfect you can't tell English isn't their 1st language and just about every 1 of them are note perfect, I'm amazed how easy it come to them I'd love to know why the females are like it, is it natural or do they take lessons where the males don't they are not word perfect, its like last season you can see Kira was going to win from her 2nd performance and this season Inger Lise Hope you knew no one was going to beat her from her 1st note, I guess I'm just thinking aloud

You are very wrong with most things you wrote. There are just as many great men taking part and I would say most participants sing English VERY VERY well…on par with English speaking artists. This is though just a very slim collection. The first The Voice Norway was in 2012. There have been 5 male winners and 4 female. Of the finalists, 23 have been men and 13 female. Kira wasnt an outright winner last season. Isak was among the favorites too and between Inger Lise and Lavrans it was very close. English is seen by many as the mother tongue of pop music. In Norway artists have felt a strong sense of belonging to a youth culture that has been permeated by English-speaking role models and idols. Influence from music lyrics, films/series, advertising, magazines, newspapers and the increasing use of the Internet and English-language computer games. Many Norwegian artists choose to sing in English, partly because they want to break through internationally and want to appeal to a larger audience and to have an opportunity to make a living from music. You don't sell records in USA, England, Asia, Germany, Spain, France, Italy etc if you sing in Norwegian. English is also perceived by many as an easier language to both sing and write songs in. It sounds and flows better. It seems to be a more vowel-based, less consonant-based language than Norwegian and when you write texts about love and strong personal feelings, it is more difficult to expose yourself and your feelings in Norwegian. The position English has as a world language makes it advantageous to choose English when writing songs that as many people as possible will understand. As a bonus, one can in theory address billions, not just roughly 5 million Norwegians. @@jadziabur6690We learn some English in school, but most of it comes from watching movies, Tv-series etc. We dont dub movies etc here. The older generation isnt that fluent in English as the younger. Most yougner people can speak basic English, but not everyone has a fluent way of doing it.

@@In_my_own_mind where are they then, the males aren't even close, I dont sugar coat anything, I've watched every audition from every voice show from every country and have done for 12 years, its my main reason I watch KZbin, their diction not as good and a lot are pitchy and still retain their accent you get to odd good 1 but the girl everyone of them their diction is perfect and note perfec, why that is like that I don't have the answer, I don't care whether you like what I say or not if you don't like it don't read them I will always say what I say, have a great day
