+The Void AU Is it bad that I prefer instrumental more than lyrical music? As my profile picture would suggest, I love Pelican, but they only have one song with vocals. Elder and Earthless are some of my favourite bands, and Elder uses vocals sparingly. Same with Sleep. I never really listen to lyrics myself. Each to their own though. I prefer to be taken away by the music; vocals can play a part in that as well, obviously haha.

Matt is honestly, of all musicians/artists that I am aware of, gives the most thoughtful and ruminating interviews. Every one I have ever watched is like philosophy, zen, politics, existentialism, and a level of emotional transparency without pretense that is quite cathartic. You know, like listening to a Sleep or High on Fire record. Great interview.

cool interview.. always had a lot of respect for Matt.. definitely one of the most down to earth people in the music industry. Never acts like he's superior like a good amount of them do, you can tell he's a fan just as much as anyone else is. Also seems more grateful for his fans than a lot of musicians do. Glad to see he's cleaned his act up, if anything just stick to weed, anything else just isn't worth it in the long run. +Tim V Thanks mate, but when I've set up the camera on a tripod and can't physically monitor audio with headphones as I'm on camera, it's way safer that I control the microphone than he get off mic on his mic and then the audio is gone.
