Hello! - My voice sounds rough in this one. I can only apologise. I'm having a bit of a hard time diagnosing what's wrong with my vocal chords and how to fix it (It's also the reason that I've found it hard to make longer videos this year.). They are always covered in mucus and the more I clear my throat the worse it gets. I'm trying to get a doctors appointment to try and get some medication help along with cutting out spicing food, caffeine and dairy from my diet. As always, thank you all for your patience.

Seems more like someone's prose about life is an orchestra that has no point. It feels very un-scp like in that there seems to be no reason to contain and no information to be gained. Like if someone designated lsd an scp. Seems like there should be a follow up with d class or an agent and some research or test notes.

Shorthand: Cherries that make you hallucinate about music and dancing, inspiring many into writing of their experiences. Longform: Mental teleportation to parallel world, as expressed through song, dance and setpieces. One researcher went in too deep, and this may be more dangerous than it seems, as these pits have no bottoms.

So, this is kinda like C.S. Lewis' _The Magicians Nephew_ in terms of world hopping, then? Instead of pools of water, we have musicians that somehow suddenly connect worlds together; in our world they appear at trees bearing cherries. To eat these cherries is to be given visions and hallucinations of the worlds connected to by the musician they came from, and to eat of the musician is to be teleported to that world. (The good doctor's disappearance is caused by his eating of jam from a violinist/fiddler tree.) The problem is those alternate worlds are fundamentally unharmonious with our natures built in this reality, described here as a fiddle, a trumpet, or another prevailing instrument that restricts or contorts the doctor's nature. He finds some relief eating cherries and having literal trips to other worlds, but he only finds long-lasting satisfaction by eating the musicians and teleporting completely. (He's presumably not the first to do this, since the musicians are described as animal-mangled.) Since the musicians are spread among multiple trees in our world, this seems to be the case elsewhere (the reason why he doesn't know where he'll end up until he's learns to recognize the musicians he's about to eat). He only finally arrives home after eating the cellist, who is missing from our grove but present everywhere else (presumably each musician is missing from the world they link to from others). That's because our world is the one that resonates with the cello and is connected to from other realities by the cellist - the doctor only notices the cello integrated into our existence after being in every other musical world and returning to ours.

It's a great Summarization! I understood it easily, but the way it was "dressed up" literarily was sooo poorly done! The Core Concept behind this SCP, basically most of what you wrote, isn't that bad (it's not great either), and a VERY Talented & Experienced Writer could have done a Unique and very Interesting Article... But here, it's a missed & failed opportunity. It is yet another reminder to Writers that no matter how Cool you feel your Concept is, if it's not Clear _(as in Clearly Defined beforehand AND Simple enough),_ is Convoluted, or represents too much of a Challenge to Build a Narrative upon, it's A BAD IDEA to go forward with this Idea, as there'll inevitably be a whole lot of problems to deal with during the Writing Process, usually so many that not all can be satisfyingly resolved, the Narrative will be hard to follow _(if you ask a highly Competent University Professor, he'll be able to explain even the most Complex of Concepts in the World to a layman person in a way that is SO SIMPLE AND EASY TO FOLLOW, at every Step of the Way that it's basically impossible not to understand, and all this without ever feeling Lost or Confused!),_ with many more Issues that I won't continue to enumerate... Basically ensuring that the End Result will be poor when you use a Bad Concept as the Core of your Story/SCP Article!

To me this one comes across in the same way I have tried to explain chronic illness and mental disorders before I had the medical background to know what was what. The talk to the ever present fiddle, the inkling of what is. The death of 1 ruleset before moving to another. The feeling of scraping and crushing to fit a mold you aren't made for. If you don't understand honestly be glad. Because the feeling of knowing what this does feel like is painful to the point that knowing I finished the video already I'm considering rewatching just to feel the sensations put to words again so that I can feel satisfied again.

It's basically a very normal universe hopping SCP, but the mechanics of traveling to other universes is what makes it special, as each universe follows weird rules, and after visiting them you start to notice the weird rules that your home universe has. It also has the additional implication that all music is a window into a different universe, which is what the orchestra is about.

I'll see if I can help, with my own botched understanding: something happened to what used to be a concert band, and where they used to play music was turned into a orchard with trees containing parts of their bodies. They seem to be alive in there and those trees create cherries that causes people to go on art-inspired drug trips. There is a weird ass entity that nobody has seen that eats the cherries and leaves notes about each tree-entity around the orchard. One day, a lead researcher dissappear after eating some of the cherry/blood juice from one of the tree-entities. They find him later, warped with some wood-made prosthetics on his lower right left and two left toes. He goes on to tell them about his literal multiverse spanning drug trip, how the tree-entity people's consciousnesses are just hanging out all mangled but chill on another plane and hos he felt musical vibrations during his whole trip. Then he came back here. I think that's it. Somehow the researcher is also the 5013-B entity that kept leaving notes around.

@@lholliday198 Wow. Yep, I never would have figured that out on my own. Thanks👍🏼
@its99pm
@its99pm 5 ай бұрын
@@lholliday198 I'd like to add that it likely wasn't the musicians themselves who were mangled in the other worlds, as the researcher mentioned some were animals. I think those various bodies had also ingested blood or flesh from the musicians (some of whom are described as partly eaten) and portaled into the other worlds without understanding what was happening. The researcher is the only one who left notes (because it's not science unless you write it down) and in the end the only one who managed to return as he has knowledge of dimensions and was able to trial and error his way back to our world. So cannibalizing the sentient tree-people-musicians is a bad idea, and prior to the containment of the orchard random people and animals occasionally did exactly that. They never came back, and are lying mangled and still sentient on the ground of these other dimensions, seemingly... content with their state of being? Or possibly so out of it due to noise & pain that they've retreated into some kind of catatonia.

I was wondering where I'd heard this article before, then realised that it was from a different channel (I was confused for a moment, but that's just me) I'd seen a day or so before! I said to myself whilst watching "It'd be great if #TheVolgun did a version of this" & was correct. Cheers!

This skip really sums up my issue with many SCP entries over the last several years: It's a meandering, purple prose-ridden tale masquerading as a numbered skip. I'm tired of overly self-indulgent entries like this. At least it's not a novel's worth of nothing, I suppose. I miss when entries were "hey here's a weird/spooky thing and how to contain it."

And yet people like you seem to act like you should be the authority on what kinds of SCPs should be allowed based on your personal preferences. I for one think the unoriginal monster rehashes are boring and find more enjoyment in the weird speculative stuff. You're like all the people who don't understand that the interesting and creepy part of the Backrooms is the atmosphere, which works _because_ it's empty, so you stick generic monsters in it to make it about tangible danger rather than the weirdness and unplaceable nostalgia of the location, which could be any normal place at that point for all it matters as you've distilled it down to running from le loud jumpscare noise. Let's not pretend the monster-that-could-murder-me stories are the more mature and nuanced take on horror. But instead of complaining that they exist, I just choose not to read/listen to them.

@@Krikenemp18 Hey so there's these things called opinions, everyone has them and has a right to express them especially in a community driven creative endeavor! No one pretends to be the authority on what is and isn't an SCP. If you feel so attacked, that's kind of on you. Have a gread day!

@@triforceofcourage100 "On Mount Golgotha" is the name of a Canon based around the SCP that's a sheet of music (by the same title) that compels people to try to finish it in their own blood. This isn't as firmly connected as the rest of the entries, but the canon as a whole connects the song with the Hanged King, the cursed city of Alagadda, and with a coming apocalypse of uncertain nature.

I wonder who wrote this SCP, as it is of particular interest why the region is referred to as "South Tyrol" and not "Alto Adige". About 65% of people there speak German as their native language, as it is a self governing part of Italy, former part of Austria, the province with the highest GDP per capita.

Basically explaining a man trying yo explain what it's like falling into a black hole. Being scraped is like spaghettification. Honestly.....once you realize it's someone explaining what falling into a black hole is like without realizing it then the story makes a hell of a lot more sense.
