I’m so pissed with the second girl. She doesnt know a thing about Manipur. Be real girl. She went to Guwahati , Sikkim , darjeeling and generalised everything. When asked “where do the Manipuris stay?” .. she had no answer. She said she visited Sikkim ... but her answer to how many many states in north east .. her answer was “Sikkim, Gangtok, Darjeeling.” I’m from Manipur and proud to be one. Netaji hoisted the Indian nation flag in Manipur for the first time. The INA has its first office there and they even have a museum dedicated to Netaji's army. Manipur played a strong role in WW2, in fact the war museum and burial ground is still there, just like in Nagaland. Even the Japanese have a movie about Imphal the capital city because of its WW2 connection. This is general knowledge considering the significance of its national and international nature of history not even talking about its personal history which is also varied. Ema Keithel, Asia's largest women run market is in Manipur. We need more NE based inclusive curriculum in pan Indian syllabus. Here I know almost everything about pan India, reading about mainland Indian history since it was in KG. Not being sarcastic or condescending, just an honest opinion for the good of our fellow Indian country peoples.
