I couldn't agree more. I cant watch too many of these things as I get angry. None of this is for the child it's all for the parents. To threaten a small child because she doesnt want highlights in her hair IS emotional abuse. To load up a small child with energy drinks and pixie sticks, talk about encourage child obesity and risk diabetes. Padded crop tops on a small child!! WHAT WAS THE WOMAN THINKING!!!! Where possible children should be allowed their childhood years. There millions of children all over the world that have to grow up fast and take on responsibilities beyond their years which can be a result of poverty or an illness. Let a child be a child those years are very brief theres plenty of time for make up and dress up in later years.

These children are abused and harmed. The mothers are mentally ill and live through their daughters. Eden's mother was the worst. Eden's fame never extended beyond pageants. At one audition, mommy had Eden dance on the table singing, "I'm a Cutie Patootie". The people were perplexed and trying not to laugh. Today, Eden is attempting to be normal young woman. I give her credit. Her mom did her best to damage her.

Yeah Carley's highlights were bad, but are we not going to discuss her mom encouraging her second personality? She developed an alter known as "Darla" to help her win pageants and the mom encouraged it by saying she wanted Darla at the pageant and not Carley. Also the Go go juice was the least of Honey Boo Boo controversy. Her mom ignored doctors warnings and help leading the girl to get child diabetes, the mom got on drugs, and most sickening dated a guy that she knew molested one of her older daughters and allowed him around the youngest.

@MegCazalet6 ай бұрын
2:00 This shot right here shows more than even the finished costume that that poor child SHOULD NOT BE PUT THROUGH THIS! Look at her, cringing and covering her fake chest!! While at the very same time she’s being sexualized, she’s showing she already knows to cover her chest and feel uncomfortable, so WHY would they push the camera in her face at that moment? WHY would they make everyone at the pageant laugh at her and make her feel self conscious about breasts she doesn’t even have yet? Mixed messages! She’s not old enough for ANY of it! Had that been me, I would’ve grown up with even more of a complex than I did because of how people talk about young girls breasts. They say they think the girls gain self-esteem though these pageants, but is that the right word? And at what cost if it comes with warped body image? As a school-age child, I wouldn’t wear a bathing suit until I was well into my teens, because something, I don’t know what exactly, just everything probably, made me super self conscious about my own body at only 7 or 8, and it was horrible! I was so anxious and miserable. I didn’t want anyone to see my body. This one shot breaks my heart more than the entire rest of the show, really! Oh it’s so sad what they did to these girls. And still do, because pageants still go on! But “drag shows are evil”. Give me a break. This just popped up again because I got a reply to an old comment, and I am horrified all over again even noticing new awful things about that damn show!
