Rick has the perfect mix to be a good leader - he keeps a cool head but when he needs to take care of business he will go to any lengths.

WAIT A MINUTE...I just realised something... Rick was NOT unattended for 60 days in the hospital. When he comes out there is a "freshly" killed medical person on the floor who had not yet reanimated. Remember, the military was already in the hospital killing patients and staff that is why Shane ran away and left Rick. There was also a helicopter at the hospital with the 3 circle CRM symbol. --- WHAT IF THE CRM WERE ALREADY THERE IN EPISODE ONE??? --- WHAT IF THE CRM HAD ALREADY EXPERIMENTED ON RICK AT THE HOSPITAL IN THE FIRST EPISODE??? --- WHAT IF THE CRM FOUND THE "CURE" AT THE BEGINNING WITH RICK??? --- WHAT IF ALL THE SCIENTISTS WERE KILLED BEFORE RICK WOKE UP AND ESCAPED??? --- WHAT IF THE CRM NEVER KNEW THAT THEIR EXPERIMENT WITH RICK WORKED??? Look at the hospital scene again... especially the lined up bodies outside... and the locked up Walkers. --- WHY DID THEY KEEP THE WALKERS LOCKED UP WHEN THEY COULD HAVE EASILY KILLED THEM??? THE CRM WERE EXPERIMENTING ON A's and B's IN EPISODE ONE!!!!!!! A's - Freshly bitten -"Don't Open Dead Inside" B's - Not bitten but carrying the virus - Rick Think about it Rick, is in the SAME physical condition when the CRM took him away on the helicopter as he was in season one episode one --- near death and unconscious. Both time Rick was categorised as a "B" What ever happened in this hospital is what we will see in the Rick Grimes movies but on an industrial scale. Also, in the last episodes with Rick there is a Wizard of Oz theme woven throughout. Like Dorothy, could Rick have had the power to return the world back to normal all along???
@johncap51304 жыл бұрын
Great Theory, Shane is suppose to be in the movie's so maybe he is there visiting him at the hospital when they do experiment's on him. But the helicopter didn't have three ring circle's it was three swords though, maybe the symbol changed as things went on. Remember season 2 those guys in the bar told Rick bout Nebraska being nice and they laughed and they also said they lived in Philly before everything. As for Shane maybe he hear's something at the hospital as to why he wanted to go to Fort Benning but he ended up agreeing with Rick because he knew they were doing bad thing's down their. Also those guys do say Nebraska was nice and they were from Philly. It stuck with me all this time because I live in Philly and I was a huge Shane fan so I pretty much am a wiz in knowledge in first two season's compared to the rest of the series. Anyway I remember those guys saying Philly was a bit worse then everywhere else and they came down there. Their group had about 90 people in it which we never saw but only heard about. We saw in Fear the Walking Dead and the in the first the season of the walking dead operation Cobalt when the chopper's dropped the bomb's on all the major cities after things went bad Well I believe cities were over ran because when they bombed the cities and everyone died by the bomb's they all came back as walker's. So maybe many of the higher members of the government took their families and other rich powerful people went to Nebraska since that state population isn't as big as state's with major city's they created a huge safe zone for themselves. Now as the rest of the country fell apart and little communities formed around the world but the CRM sent out their military member's in chopper's to find A's and B's to recruit and experiment on. Now maybe in Philadelphia Cobalt was a success. Maybe Philly had more survivor's compared to other places so they saved the entire city. Meanwhile everywhere else communication was down and everyone believed pretty much everywhere most people died. So in Philly the CRM could have made many of the lower end survivor's their slave's or they put them in their military. So those two guys might been forced to be put in Randall's group and had to go out throughout the country and recruit people and also find people for them to experiment on. Randal also said to Shane almost the same thing Jadish said to Father Gabriel about loving were we are going. Randall told Shane will love the group and she told Father G they could have a beautiful life together. Now we are pretty much ten plus year's into all of this and the CRM stayed hidden from everyone for the most part. Only Jadish knew of them. We have seen many group's throughout the years from Savior's, Woodbury, Terminus, the Wolf's, Alexandria, Hilltop, Oceanside, Kingdom and the Whisper's etc. Now the savior's were a massive group and they didn't even know about them. So as the show goes on and crossover's are planned I think the CRM should still stay hidden or be a rumor to everyone else. But the CRM are aware of everyone else around the world including the Commonwealth. Also Randall told Darryl they did some very bad things to weaker group's including rape.

@@TWDExplained My bad it is another insignia but this is when we first see military and helicopters. Maybe they hadn't become CRM yet. But they were there awhile before Rick woke up. I hear you...I was really thinking it up for a video - and it would make a great What If - but the actual clues all end up straw grasps in the end I think. So Blankets and 3 season tent was doable with the rain fly on it. Homeless don't need shelters except for freak cold spells and even then there isn't a lot of frozen homeless death.... Although at that point(after several months) they would have absconded with motor homes or moved into mobile homes if not houses. As it would be obvious they are safer and more secure. Retreating mountain-ward in the southern states to the vacation and resort cabins would be easily survivable and even more remote. With strong white water rivers to provide fresh drinking water and anti zombie barriers for not freezing and strong currents sweeping zombies down river and through body breaking rapids towards the ocean. Zombies makes it out of the water with enough flesh intact to still function, then manages to walk the right direction and meets the same river hazard again.... Repeat cycle. Anyone would figure out bridges needed barriers pretty quickly. Bonus fresh game for food until gardens and farming was established.

All I’m saying is, if I led a group from point A to point B, while doing so found a couple people I really care about giving me a reason to keep pushing on then out of nowhere, some guy rises from the dead and makes me feel dismissed as everyone adheres to him over me? @@stephenmagill2937 7 months ago but still if Rick can easily kill Negan in a 1v1 Shane can too. Shane vs The Governor would be better since he almost killed Rick in a 1v1 if it wasnt for Michonne. Shane was totally wrong coming at Rick after the camp got eaten. Let's say they left Merle: 1. Ed and Amy are dead anyway. Rick, T-Dogg, and Glenn would have been just part of the oblivious yakkity-yak around the fire just like all the rest. Nobody even knew there was an attack until Amy was getting chewed up. That wouldn't change. 2. No guns. Rick doesn't go back for the bag, you have 3 more people fighting a mini-herd with sticks and stones. Wouldn't have helped much. And 3. It's not just the dead. Daryl's going back for his brother regardless, after finding nothing but a hand you think he's returning for hugs and handshakes? Nope, the survivors would have been getting shot at as well as being eaten. Can't come down on Shane for the day before, but he knew ALL these things when he was chastising Rick the morning after.

Rick gets people kill pretty much all through the walking dead, his bad leader. First thing you should do is building defenses to defend your group walls/ trenches/ spikes in ground and set traps. Next step food and water. The group look like they had some weapons, make this bigger by make bow and arrows/ spears (this would also help with hunting). Craft armour to protect people getting bitten. Setup a 3 in a team group for scout out supplies (food, medicine, weapons, police body armour/ sport armour/biker leathers etc). Look for more people to join you, the more people you have, the more people you have to help defend/ scout/ build/ farming etc. You would slowly build small town through this.

Yes, that is the beauty about Shane..You can relate to him..This is why it was so good starting off..Not black and white..It was a real decision that us as the viewers had to decide since Shane had things under control until Rick showed up..I love Rick and Shane so this was easily the best part of the first and second season..

Great video's as always. You are def by far the best fan walking channel host with your report's of rumor's, fact's, theory's and prediction's. Especially prediction's part! Some host's say something then totally contradict their comment with the next sentence or give every possible scenario then three video's say as i said in a prior video this or that would or could happen. Yea not to mention the 6 other type of situation's in that video they no longer talk about. I won't bash anyone publicly because I know you guys put much effort in these video's but this one says the writer's can do this because and then at the end of the statement he say's but the writer's may very well do and he say's the same thing he just said they wouldn't do just using different words and terminology!! I've always had a problem with the early timeline. A person can go only 3 days without water and 30 days without food. But Rick had been in a coma for over 50 days?!? Even taking liquids out of the equation, he certainly didn't look like he had starved for over 50 days. Not only that, but the wound on his side from the gunshot still had not healed by the time he met Morgan, nor was it grossly infected. I'd have thought that it would have either healed or festered during the time that had gone by.

I think shane beat up ed because after rick showed up Lori basically left him for dead and he became increasingly angry so he let it out on him to blow off steam
@guinnessruffing75894 жыл бұрын
I thought long and hard about this and if Shane led the group. Amy would still be dead since by the time they saw the zombies she was already bit. Since Rick wasn’t there to make Shane mad he would’ve told Ed to back off instead of hit him so Ed would be at the fire with the others and would survive. They would then make their way to Fort Benning, but on the way their Merle and Daryl would steal their supplies so they would have to hurry their way their. Along with that we Fort Benning falls early in the outbreak since a character in season 4 who was in the governor’s group said it was close to being overrun so he abandoned his post meaning some characters like Shane, Ed, & Tdog probably wouldn’t survive. They then join the group the the Governor would’ve taken over but now Woodbury is still standing so he won’t. I think they’d end up meeting Terra who ran off after her undead grandpa killed her family.

I just thought it was a rat move for Rick to instantly take command right after showing up... acting like Shane had no right to question him even...
@jeffpraterJSF3 жыл бұрын
It’s Shane’s fault. Rick was Shane’s superior before, the second he showed up Shane fell in line and everyone noticed. Rick became the leader by the next morning. But only because of the situation. Rick challenged Shane by saying “I’m gonna take 5 of your guys and rescue Merle.” And Shane can’t stop him, Ricks the leader. If nobody wanted to follow Rick and Shane got his way with everyone staying at camp, Rick never would have became the leader.
@Daggar973 жыл бұрын
If Rick had died in the hospital, what would've happened on the roof? Remember Rick cuffed Merle there. Would he kill someone? Try to be the leader as he proclaimed? Or would have he and Daryl robbed the group?

After rewatching TWD Shane did made some good call as leader and yes he was right for beating Ed. When Rick was radioing in that he was heading to Atlanta but Amy was the only one who heard his voice. Shane said that no go off alone however I found out that Lori was saying for a week that they should’ve left signs warning people. So Shane was right for not leaving camp but was wrong for waiting a week to do something. When they found out that they were trap in a department store, Shane was right for not going after them it’s just that he didn’t know how much of a good call that was because Rick was working out a plan to get them out. Imagine if he did went after them but took a different road. Shane and Rick would’ve miss each other completely. When the walkers came to the camp my theory is when Glenn came with the car alarm, that’s what got the walker attention. Rick was right to go after the guns because if they didn’t they could’ve lost everyone. The only weapons that they had was Shane Shotgun, Dale Rifle and both Morales and Jim had a Bat, that’s it. Going to the CDC wasn’t a huge mistake. They get to relax for one night, they learn how the virus works and Rick learns that they are all infected. Remember we found out that Fort Benning was lost in season 2.

I think s1 Shane was a good balance and he was a good leader its uo until he kills otis that he rly changes and becomes eaten with guilt and lashes out but i think his real turning point is when he sees that walker on yhe road by it's self since i think thats when he realizes that hes truly alone which is his biggest fear. Hes a good guy but he just couldn't cope with the actions he had to do and became increasingly more like an animal
