Taking my Shahada in London! British Revert Story Part 2!

I remember the night I took my shahada. Unfortunately it wasn’t filmed so I hope the memory stays vivid and true in my memory. It was after Maghrib prayer and everyone in the mosque stayed and watched, there was an older woman in our section and after it was said and done she came and gave me the biggest, warmest hug and we both cried a major river of happy tears. One of the most defining moment in my life. Alhamdulillah. 🌼

I would avoid debating about Islam with the type of people who have intolerant views about it, especially if they are part of your family , we have to be kind with all but more so with family, but also Islam will give you aura and confidence . If you are asked about a thing in Islam answer short, I would say very brief, and change subject in subtle way like "by the way what happen to...".. Believe me, in this age, they can research it if they are sincere or curious about it, and to know who is sincere among them who is not, see their words, do they talk with respect and kindness? Do they listen really listen to your answer!! The intolerant ones will ask you only to confirm their bias , they are not interested about the facts.. if you answer short and casual as you if you were talking about the weather, they won't have their way with you, because you don't give them the chance because you answer in a very casual way and not elaborate on it, so they can come with a Counter argument.. this way they will respect your space,etc.. What happen is that people get convinced by actions anyways... It is your golden opportunity to give them passive yet solid preaching with your action and kindness which God love. I am sure you have noticed that if we try to convince when asked, people do not listen.. know that Islam is elegant.. dignify the person without the true Muslim realizing it because a true believer act for the sake of God so just praise God in your heart, if they make bad comment about your new faith, smile and change topic gracefully they won't have excuse to argue with you.. and the others who watch will realize how elegant and graceful you are becoming!!! God said that in Quran to us "Invite to the Way of your Lord with wisdom and beautiful preaching; and argue with them in ways that are best and most gracious: for your Lord know best, who have strayed from His Path, and who receive guidance. " Quran 16-125 many quote this verse, but few meditate on it on a deeper level, grace maybe done with smile, sometimes smile and silence, Eloquence is not achieved by words only.. if it a bad remark, just don't notice it, if it is a quesiton Just answer very casually and short , with a smile and kindness.. that is my advice.. people deep down know if they are behaving wrong with you and Allah is with you. Here is a proof that Allah will be with you always if you get closer: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Allah Almighty says: Whoever comes with a good deed will have the reward of ten like it and even more. Whoever comes with an evil deed will be recompensed for one evil deed like it or he will be forgiven. Whoever draws close to me by the length of a hand, I will draw close to him by the length of an arm. Whoever draws close to me the by length of an arm, I will draw close to him by the length of a fathom. Whoever comes to me walking, I will come to him running. And whoever meets me with enough sins to fill the earth, not associating any idols with me, I will meet him with as much forgiveness.” book Muslim 2687 That is what matter. God said in The Quran: " Had Allah known any good in them, He would have made them hear. And if He had made them hear, they would [still] have turned away, while they were refusing. Quran 8-21 to 23 This was said to disbelievers , meaning if God knew they would listen for guidance he would have made them listen in their current stage, yet some of them may listen down the road, later or never well. if you absorb this deeply you will not be in rush to explain your new faith, and would be patient and calm that is the silent, elegant dawah, calling, preaching, to people who try to change your mind or want to abuse your faith. It is the wise thing to do, and elegant and when it is done for God sake, God will make you elegant and graceful. the closer the people to you the less talk about it, because you have the "long run" beside you to convince them.. and while reading you will have more solid knowledge about it and have chance to answer eloquently. It helps to elaborate before hand the answers to most frequent questions in short sentences. This way you just concentrate on the delivery of the answer with smile and kindness.. because the content you know. but if you forget all this at least remember when they ask you about something in your new faith answer and utter it in a "very casual " way.. it is enthusiasm that provoke intolerant people and give them chance to reply and give bad remarks... but if you are casual about it they can not have a way with you... that may give the impression that you are taking this religion lightly or a fad and not seriously , that is fine, actually great because with time your action will shine with the will of God in subtle yet powerful way. I wish I were in your place to have this golden opportunity to show the beauty of Islam.. Queen Victoria, Charles Darwin, and Albert Einstein all married their first cousins. It was the norm in the West for a very very long time (so t's not something particularely from Islam). Why ? Rural life didn't give you too much choices. And in Muslim countries rural life is still pretty present. Even though it decreases years after years, obviously. Marrying your cousin isn't as dangerous as we think. It's practically the same level of dangerousness as marrying someone from an other unrelated family. Scientists have crunched the numbers and it turns out the risk that the cousins have a kid who inherits a genetic disease is 4-7%. For the general population, it’s 3-4%. Actualy it's really not a big deal. What is dangerous is perpuating this, generations after generations. So, I'll hope you'll be able to think by yourself and realize this issue is definetely not related & associated to Islam & Muslim and it's more of a socio-economic issue. And obviously it decreases years after years... I would say it's not even common in todays generations of Muslim. Maybe our grandparents & some parents. Muhammad the WARNER manipulated HIS illiterate Hijaz Bedouins of 7th Cent who believed every nonsense he spoke as wisdom that they will go to Paradise if they die for him and sex with captives if they live and win battles. FIRST: TO THE ARABS: Quran says 27 Times! (not just 10 or 20) Islam is for Hijaz Arabs only to help take control of Mecca from his RICH UNCLE Abu Lahab. See Surah al-Masad (111) Quran pinpoints the exact Geographical location where Islam was to be followed. These below verses leave no room for misunderstanding. Suras 6:92 - 26:198-199 - 32:3 and 36.6. BUT, Allah knows there are some really ignorant people - so, he wants to make this matter clear to them. He repeats the same again in Quran verse 42:7 saying: "Thus have WE revealed to you the Qur’an in Arabic, that you may warn the Mother of towns (Mecca), and the villages around it." [Does around "Rome" include Paris, London, Tokyo?] Muhammad IN ARABIA was talking to the Quraysh. TO THE NON-ARABS - Quran Says - they have no reason to believe in a book written in Arabic, read in Sura 26: 198-199. BECAUSE: Every nation is sent a messenger speaking the tongue of his people Surah 14:4 AND: Surah Yusuf (12) aya 2 We have sent down an ARABIC QURAN in order that YOU (Arabs) may understand. [IS THIS Arabic Quran TO THE JAPANESE.] Can I say to the Japanese: "This message is in English so that YOU may understand"? Did Muhammad speak Chinese/English? He didn't even know these countries existed. Quran ali-'Imran (3) aya 110 You (Arabs) are the best of peoples ever raised up for mankind because you bring non-Arabs into Islam with chains round their necks. See Sahih al-Bukhari Hadith #4557 (6:60:80) So, Remember Allah Most High has chosen the Quraysh over other people in the world. Says in Quran (3:110) and Hadiths below:- Muslim 2276 and Bukhari in their “Sahih” in the beginning of the chapter of merits #5897, on the authority of Wathilah ibn al-Asqa said, “I heard Messenger of Allah say:- 1. Verily Allah has chosen from the son of Isma`eel. 2. He has chosen Quraysh from among Kinanah and 3. He has chosen ME from the tribe of Bani Hashim from amongst the Quraysh." So, this above hadith is a primary text about the preference of Quraysh over other Arab tribes like Ansars of Medina and Ta'if etc. It is a Sacred Law. After a NON-ARAB has believed in Arabian Allah as his/her Lord, that "there is no God [رب] but Allah اللَّهِ" (Quran 47:19) [فَاعْلَمْ أَنَّهُ لاَ رب إِلأاللَّهُ] , s/he should know that this is from among His matters. If you REJECT the SUPERIORITY OF ARABS, you have sinned for not believing. IT is an affirmed matter according to a clear rigorously authenticated hadith. ALSO, this issue is not something that is commonly known among NON-ARAB Muslims, so don't blame when they disagree. - It is necessary, to tell them about this Sacred Law of Allah. - (I have just done that). Sahih al-Bukhari (#3500 and 3501): On the authority of Mu`awiyah, ”I heard the Messenger of Allah, say: ‘This matter of government belongs to the Quraysh. Anyone who takes a hostile attitude to them will be thrown on his face.” And. On the authority of Ibn `Umar, the Prophet said, “Government continues to belong to the Quraysh, even if there are only two.” As for the preference of an Arab over a non-Arab, and the preference of some Arabs over other Arabs, this is not a deed that one can earn. Rather, it is a bounty that Allah gives to whom He wills. So he may will something for these people, and there is NO objection to your Lord’s rule. Not all Muslims believe that Arabs are superior to them and are unaware of this opinion, but the point here is this, a very large segment of Muslims TRULY believe in the superiority of the Arabs and hide this information from those they invite to join Islam. This often comes as a shock to new Muslim/as, because they were told Islam is equal. Example: Why an Arab can walk into a Masjid outside of Arabia and instantly be held in the highest respect as an Imam, if that is what he desires? Simply because he can read and write Arabic. And, some of you even wonder why so many non-Arabs hold the Arabs in such high regard. Start by looking at your daily actions. I did and I’m glad I did. So! Muhammadans, why Arabs are NOT SUPERIOR? Consider the following points once again:- 1) You pray (salaat) in their language (and deem salaat is unacceptable in any other language). 2) You turn toward their land (qibla in Saudi) to perform your salaats five times a day (because an Arab told you so (not god) even though Muhammad had made Jerusalem his first Qibla.) 3) You feel that you are religiously obligated to waste your hard earned cash to travel to their land at least once in your lifetime. 4) You greet other non-Arab Muslims in their language (as-salaam alaikum). 5) And you even pepper your every day conversation in their language. (e.g. for an English speaker “alhamdulillah” instead of “praise God”; “insha Allah” instead of “God willing”, etc). 6) And you salt your food with Arabic words saying 'Bismillah-ir-Rahman-ir-Rahim - instead of "In the name of God.....” (even though salt is NO longer a precious commodity, and Europeans generously spread salt all over on the road in winter) Have you not made Arabs superior over you, in this world! Have they not destroyed your identity? Non-Arab Muslims, (Afghans, Bangladeshis, Iranians, Indians, Pakistanis, Russians, Chinese etc.) WHO DO NOT UNDERSTAND ARABIC insult their mother country, language and culture by choosing to forgo their identity and give themselves and their children Arabic names and observe Arabic Law: The Sharia (cutting hands to make a person unproductive for life etc.) Azerbaijan, Chinese, Chechens, French etc. are the same. Dress in Arabic clothing and take on Arabic belief and customs. Islam was a political movement by Abu al-Qasim ibn Abdallah (AKA Muhammad) to take over the Ka'ba from his RICH Uncle Lahab and Meccans - to make Mecca HIS Capital and himself rich. In Quran Abu Lahab is an only human CURSED by Allah - Before he even created him - See, Quran al-Masad (111). WHY CURSE A HUMAN BEFORE HE EVEN CREATED THE UNIVERSE?

In Islam we believe that Allah knows everything (Alim ul Gaib) and the Prophet is just a messenger who only conveys the message of God, even he prophesies things what Allah tells him through revelation.Even prophets can't predict future on their own including Jesus(PBUH).It's Allah who knows what is ahead of us. Mashallah. I want you to remember that there are more than 1.5 billion Muslims. Like all religions, some of us are very conservative while others are very liberal. Since we are humans, we tend to think that the level of religious commitment that we are practicing, is the right one. Therefore, expect alot of comments here to prussure you to do certain things at certain times (Hijab, way of live,...etc). My advice is : do everything on your own time, to the level of commitment that is comfortable and sensible to you. Do not rush, or you might feel overwhelmed. Best wishes from Saudi
