Love watching you wander guys. I'm watching from the rural north of Scotland and appreciate you mentioning the names of the trees, plants and creatures you come across, not the same as ours here and I often wonder, lovely to know that was the song of the Cardinal, no Cardinals here !

Great video, Cliff and Jon. The historical background is a perfect supplement to the shots of the beautiful old buildings and scenery. Annville is a beautiful little town. Several years ago, the Friends of Old Annville, conducted tours of the historic area. Each group was lead by a knowledgeable guide. They provided booklets with pictures and background about each building. Some of the owners talked with the groups. The Allen Theater is a little treasure. Batdorf's has great food. Main Street is very walkable. Thanks for sharing. It's so nice that Jon is mending and contributing.

Get well John. Never got to see lime kilns from the top before, in wrightsville you can see the front openings well. Also there was a revolutionary prison camp near wrightsville York county pa. It w as s mostly Hessons from valley forge I think. And and many remained in america after the war. When you were looking into the train station window, your fuzzy mike looked like a palm tree or cactus. Lol

I reside very near to Annville...drive or ride thru it alot; usually in too much of a hurry to enjoy a tour like you presented...thank you for this video! next time you are in the locale check out the Hershey American Legion behind the old chocolate factory; if I recall correctly, it was the old carriage house for delivery wagons & horses for Hershey Chocolate...afterward it was a residence for a doctor or dentist; before Milton Hershey died, either he (or a representative from his estate trust) bequeathed the building to the Hershey Legion Post 386, along with a select amount of shares of Hershey Chocolate (now Hershey's Foods) with conditions that if they vacate the buildings (legion post, rental house, and garages at base of property) then the property & company shares revert back to Hershey Trust (they basically own the town & alot of surrounding land...alot of land leases & sales keep the trust afloat)

Another 2 cool book on historic PA homes & sites are Postcards of Chester County and The Four Seasons of Chester County by Red Hamer. Im partial to the later because it has a picture of my 1810 fieldstone farmhouse near Longwood Gdns. in it. Nice tour Cliff and John 👍 Oh yeah, that purple house reminds me of that one off Rt 322 on the right coming up from Honey Brook towards East Earl (Rt 897). Never saw another one till this one. 👍 One more thing Cliff, tell Mr. John that Dave is impressed with his history knowledge of historic buildings there. 👍
